Savagery ist eine Band die sich dem Old School Death Metal verschrieben hat. Gegründet wurde diese Band zwischen 2003 und 2006 in Münster. Die lange Gründungszeit beruht auf besetzungswechsel und stilfindung. Doch als dann endlich die endgültige Formation bestand, konnte man fleissig Songs schreiben um die daraus resultierenden Todesmetallgeschosse ins Volk zu donnern. Inhaltlich bewegt man sich zwischen Splatter und Gore, aber auch ein wenig Sozialkritik findet seinen Platz. Grösstenteils geht es aber, wie im Old School Death Metal üblich, um den Tod an sich. Doch wer meint, das die Lyrics und die darin enthaltene Darstellung von Gewalt und Extremen, die Meinung der Band widerspiegeln täuscht sich. Savagery distanzieren sich, ohne Kompromisse, in jeglicher Form von real existierender Gewalt oder deren Verherrlichung. Politische und religiöse Inhalte wird man bei Savagery nicht finden, da es für Savagery nichts mit dem ursprünglichen Death Metal zu tun hat. Vielmehr geht es dieser Band um die musikalische Form der Unterhaltung, mit den Abgründen und den kranken Fantasien der menschlichen Natur. Durch die Erzählung von Geschichten, die in ihrer Absurdität kaum zu übertreffen sind, wollen sie den Metal Fans ihre Musik näherbringen. Und wer ohnehin schon dem Death Metal verfallen ist, sollte sich diese Band unbedingt anhören. Für Savagery ist Death Metal nicht einfach nur Musik, sondern eine Leidenschaft die sie mit Überzeugung praktizieren. In diesem Sinne: DEATH METAL VICTORY!

And now in english: Savagery is some kind of Band, who committed themselves to Old-School Death Metal. This Band was founded between 2003 and 2006 in Muenster. The long foundation time is based on line up changes and creating their own style. When then finally, the final formation existed they could write diligently songs to shoot the death metal bullets, resulted from it ,to the people. The content of the lyrics moves between Splatter and Gore, however, also a little social criticism finds his place. Principal the stories are, like in the Old School Death Metal usually, about the death in itself. But who thinks, that the lyrics and their enclosed demonstration of violence and extreme reflect the opinion of the band members, has definitely fooled himself! SAVAGERY distances themselves – without any compromise – from any kind of real existing violence or their glorification!. Political or religious contents You will search in vain along SAVAGERY, because they think, that it has nothing to do with the original forms of Death Metal. The band wants to show their music as a form of entertainment, but enriched with the abysms and its ill fantasies of human nature! By narrating stories, what can’t be topped in their absurdity, the band wants to present their music to the metal fans. And who – anyway – has fallen to the deep universe of Metal Music, should listen to this band immediately! The band SAVAGERY thinks Death Metal not only as some music style, but as a passion, what they practice with deep persuasion!
