We are strongly influenced by the concepts used at Yoshii's, The Blue Note, Jazz Alley, Blues Alley and other mainstream jazz clubs throughout the country. It is our determination and love of jazz and the creativity of musicians that keeps our dream of a strong jazz community in Sacramento alive.
Sunday Evening Jazz is a program started by Glenn Hair and Vivian Lee, local Sacramento musicians, to present and promote mainstream, straight-ahead jazz in a concert/club setting.
Jazz is presented here every Sunday from 5-8pm. It features local, regional and the occasional national and international acts touring through Northern California. Started in 2003 as a venture to jumpstart the beginnings of a budding jazz community of local musicians and jazz fans, it has blossomed into Sacrmento's premier place to listen and experience mainstream jazz.
Savanna's is located in the Red Lion Hotel in Sacramento, California. It is a wonderfully intimate room that can seat 140-160. Dinner and drinks are available and there is no drink minimum.

Thanks for your Friendship! I’ve seen many great concerts here in Savanna's & I wanted to thank you for all those great memories.
I’ve had a privilege to have collected some of the best Sacramento area musicians! Please click on Band Website and click on Musicians for credits, and have a listen to my song “Sky’s the limit” which I’ve dedicated to these fine artists.
