"Walk toward a new and different world. A new world exists for you just as surely as Venus exists. It is inner, truly spiritual, ruled by Reality. It awaits your discovery. March toward this higher life right now by seeing what it is not. It is not like this world. It has no confusion, no fear of loss, no loneliness, no self-destructive acts. Change yourself and it is your world! Be eager to make this inner change. Years from now you will see it as the wisest decision of your life."
-The Daily Guru
"We have the power to choose and to exercise that power without giving control of it to situations. We cannot change anything but our own perspective and response, yet in that changing we change the world around us by becoming an instrument of insight and awareness."
-Gail Pursell Elliott
"We cannot suppress our brother's liberty without suppressing our own and we cannot murder our brothers without murdering ourselves. We stand together as men for human freedom and human dignity or we will fall together, as animals, back into the jungle." -Jack Parsons
"The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing." -Albert Einstein
"I do not want to father a flock,

"Be more concerned with your character than with your reputation.
Your character is what you really are while your reputation is merely what others think you are."

"A Title has been created for something, prior to it being understood, and that is all. Therefore, to attach certainty in any way at all to such a subject, is an act of an absolute fool!"
"Only a complete fool would say the that he or she is in touch with reality rather than saying one is in touch with conformity, unless he or she knows what reality is, and how to create such a reality."
"Kindness is an inner desire that makes us want to do good things even if we do not get anything in return. It is the joy of our life to do them. When we do good things from this inner desire, there is kindness in everything we think, say, want and do." - Emanuel Swedenborg
(I would expand the word "human" there to include all living beings.)
"There is little that seperates humans from other sentient beings-We all feel pain, we all feel joy, we all deeply crave to be alive and to live freely and we all share this planet together."
"There are many probable futures for humanity. In one, people have become responsible about the environment, exist together in peace, and honor the earth and each other. If you imagine the world growing more beautiful, people choosing to be more loving to each other, and a clean environment, you will start moving into the probable universe where that happens."
Be the LIGHT that others will follow in this world of darkness.

You scored as Certified Empath. You are a natural born Empath! You are haunted by the calling of "the others" and walk in silence between the busy and the distracted. You qualify for certification by the School of Empath Psychology. From the Book of Storms Series newsletter on Yahoo! Groups.
Nonaction IS action. You can't cease to act. Everything you choose to do or not do is an act. Everything you do or don't do, and every thought you think, has an effect on the world around you.

Nature is not an object that was created merely for humans to use and abuse. The sad truth is that humans treat everything this way.. not just trees and nature. They treat animals, women, children and each other as mere objects to use and abuse.

"That which has blood and flesh will be rejected by the gods and not eaten by the saints; all in heaven distance themselves far from one who eats meat; his breath is always foul...meat is not a good thing, meat is not pure, it is born in evil and spoils in merit and virtue; it is rejected by all the gods and saints!"
"To prevent human bloodshed one must start at the dinner table."

Knowledge of the self is the mother of all knowledge. So it is incumbent on me to know my self, to know it completely, to know its minutiae, its characteristics, its subtleties, and its very atoms. -Kahlil Gibran

"To become lighter, to create happier events in your life, it is important to use higher words and thoughts when you speak to yourself or others. Your thoughts create reality; they go out into the world and affect other people. As you begin thinking purer, kinder, and move loving thoughts, you will begin to change the magnetism of your body and resonate with the higher planes of the universe."
""Paranoia", that implies a groundless fear.
They spread paranoia. When we move and act with love, we become anchored in love. Fear and rage and frustration and paranoia lose thier grip on us. Then perhaps we are able to view the situation calmly and objectively with love. Then, we can know the truth, and even say "Yup! They are corrupt and dark!" without fear, and without anger, but also without what seems to be common, the tendency to not think about things, which reverts back to fear too..." -S i v a

"But for the sake of some little mouthful of flesh we deprive a soul of the sun and light, and of that proportion of life and time it had been born into the world to enjoy." -Plutarch (AD 46-120)
"A reduction in beef and other meat consumption is the most potent single act you can take to halt the destruction of our environment and preserve our natural resources. Our choices do matter. What's healthiest for each of us personally is also healthiest for the life support system of our precious, but wounded planet." John Robbins, author of Diet for a New America
"Each year, the meat industrial complex abuses and butchers nearly nine billion cows, pigs, sheep, turkeys, chickens, and other innocent, feeling animals just for the enjoyment of consumers. Each year, nearly 1.5 million of these consumers are crippled and killed prematurely by heart failure, cancer, stroke, and other chronic diseases that have been linked conclusively with the consumption of these animals. Each year, millions of other animals are abused and sacrificed in a vain search for a ‘magic pill’ that would vanquish these largely self-inflicted diseases." -Alex Hershaft, PhD, President, Farm Animal Reform Movement
"In every respect, vegans appear to enjoy equal or better health in comparison to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians." -T. Colin Campbell, PhD Professor of Nutrition, Cornell University
"When we kill the animals to eat them, they end up killing us because their flesh, which contains cholesterol and saturated fat, was never intended for human beings." -William C. Roberts, M.D., editor of The American Journal of Cardiology
"We pray on Sundays that we may have light/To guide our footsteps on the path we tread;/We are sick of war, we don't want to fight,/And yet we gorge ourselves upon the dead." -George Bernard Shaw
"The custom of tormenting and killing of beasts will, by degrees, harden their hearts even towards men. And, they who delight in the suffering and destruction of inferior creatures, will not be apt to be very compassionate or benign to those of their own kind. Children should from the beginning be brought up in abhorrence of killing or tormenting any living creature." -John Locke
"In all the round world of utopia there is no meat. There used to be. But now we cannot stand the thought of slaughterhouses. And in a population that is all educated and at about the same level of physical refinement, it is practically impossible to find anyone who will hew a dead ox or pig. We never settled the hygienic aspect of meat-eating at all. This other aspect decided us. I can still remember as a boy the rejoicings over the closing of the last slaughterhouse." -H.G. Wells
"If man wants freedom why keep birds and animals in cages? Truly man is the king of beasts, for his brutality exceeds them. We live by the death of others. We are burial places! I have since an early age abjured the use of meat." -Leonardo-da-Vinci
"Vegetarian food leaves a deep impression on our nature. If the whole world adopts vegetarianism, it can change the destiny of humankind." -Albert Einstein
"My refusing to eat flesh occasioned an inconveniency, and I was frequently chided for my singularity, but, with this lighter repast, I made the greater progress, for greater clearness of head and quicker comprehension" "Flesh eating is unprovoked murder." -Benjamin Franklin

"I do feel that spiritual progress does demand at some stage that we should cease to kill our fellow creatures for the satisfaction of our bodily wants." -Gandhi
"It is a violation of the Law of Thelema to abuse the natural qualities of any animal or object by diverting it from its proper function." -Aleister Crowley
"Flesh eating is simply immoral, as it involves the performance of an act which is contrary to moral feeling: killing. By killing, man suppresses in himself, unnecessarily, the highest spiritual capacity, that of sympathy and pity towards living creatures like himself and by violating his own feelings becomes cruel." "As long as there are slaughterhouses, there will be battlefields." -Leo Tolstoy

You must be the change you wish to see in the world.
I started this because I wish to raise awareness for the beauty of the Earth and how much she is in danger now by so many of the problems caused by human ignorance. We cannot continue on forever in our attitude of avoidance and apathy hoping all our problems will just go away.. we risk losing all that is wonderous, beautiful, and still truly good about this world.
Please educate yourself about all that is really going on, then.. do something about it. If you feel you are powerless, you are wrong. As Gandhi said, "You must be the change you wish to see in the world.", and as he proved, one person can move mountains if they are clever enough to figure out how.

"Do you really know what Reality truly is? As the result of your presently limited vision of reality, MILLIONS of people are being Tortured to death or worse, yet of course you believe that the cause of their "Symptoms" and deaths is to be of a cause that exists within that very same limited vision of yours, limited since you simply do not know of what lies beyond it!"

"Causing others to lose is not the way to win. The way to win is to create value where there was none before.
What you truly desire you cannot take from anyone else. Your effort and your commitment are what will fulfill your dreams.
The mere tokens of success are feeble substitutes for success itself. Real success always comes from the inside and spreads outward.
Don't waste your time chasing a fleeting, superficial image of fulfillment. Put your energy into creating and living the magnificent substance of your dreams.
The moments you'll always treasure are the moments when you allow yourself to be authentically you. Choose to fill your life with those golden moments.
Let go of the self-defeating desire to take what anyone else may have. What you have and what you can do with it are so very much better."
Those who dwell among the beauties and mysteries of the earth are never alone or weary of life. - Rachel Carson
The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed. - Albert Einstein
Beauty is an all-pervading presence. It unfolds to the numberless flowers of the Spring; it waves in the branches of the trees and in the green blades of grass; it haunts the depths of the earth and the sea, and gleams out in the hues of the shell and the precious stone. And not only these minute objects, but the ocean, the mountains, the clouds, the heavens, the stars, the rising and the setting sun all overflow with beauty. The universe is its temple; and those people who are alive to it can not lift their eyes without feeling themselves encompassed with it on every side. - William Ellery Channing
“Love is life. All, everything that I understand, I understand only because I love. Everything is, everything exists, only because I love. Everything is united by it alone.” -Leo Tolstoy

"What If.. All the negative things around the world were a manifestation of all the nightmares and negative thoughts from those with horrors in their lives? What If... There just are not enough positive thoughts and wonderful dreams to go around to break the darkness? I Wonder... Cause and Effect, Law of Attraction? What If... There was something we could do about it? What If... All we had to do was Dream a better Dream?"

"There is a distinct and profound difference in the humanly perceived form of Love (conditional Love) and the Unconditional Love of the Source.
Conditional Love says…. I’ll love you as long as.....
Unconditional loves says I’ll love you regardless of
Conditional Love says You can have this IF.....
Unconditional love says I’ll provide you with whatsoever you ask
Conditional Love says If you don’t act in such and such a way I won’t.....
Unconditional Love says I give to everyone equally and without prejudice based on the seeds that are planted."

"How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in life you will have been all of these." -George Washington Carver
"When we come into contact with the other person, our thoughts and actions should express our mind of compassion, even if that person says and does things that are not easy to accept. We practice in this way until we see clearly that our love is not contingent upon the other person being lovable." -Thich Nhat Hanh
"...when we finally know we are dying, and all other sentient beings are dying with us, we start to have a burning, almost heartbreaking sense of the fragility and preciousness of each moment and each being, and from this can grow a deep, clear, limitless compassion for all beings." -Sogyal Rinpoche

"Almost no students value activity as citizens. Passive in public, they are hardly more idealistic in arranging their private lives: Gallup concludes they will settle for 'low success, and won't risk high failure.' There is not much willingness to take risks (not even in business), no setting of dangerous goals, no real conception of personal identity except one manufactured in the image of others, no real urge for personal fulfillment except to be almost as successful as the very successful people. Attention is being paid to social status (the quality of shirt collars, meeting people, getting wives or husbands, making solid contacts for later on); much, too, is paid to academic status (grades, honors, the med school rat race). But neglected generally is real intellectual status, the personal cultivation of the mind."
"Although mankind desperately needs revolutionary leadership, America rests in national stalemate, its goals ambiguous and tradition-bound instead of informed and clear, its democratic system apathetic and manipulated rather than 'of, by, and for the people'."

"The inertia and acquiescence which allows the suspension of our liberties would once have been unthinkable. The present ignorance and indifference is appalling. The little that is worthwhile in our civilization and culture is made possible by the few who are capable of creative thinking and independent action, grudgingly assisted by the rest. When the majority of men surrender their freedom, barbarism is near but when the creative minority surrender it, the Dark Age has arrived."
"It is necessary that we defend freedom unless we all wish to be slaves. It is expedient that we achieve brotherhood unless we desire destruction and it is convenient that we grant others the right to their own opinions and life-styles in order to maintain our own."
"Freedom cannot be subject to arbitrary interpretation and misinterpretation."
"Liberalism cannot exist where it violates its own principles. It cannot exist where the emergency monger or the utopia salesman can obtain a suspension of rights, whether temporary or permanent. Liberty cannot be suppressed in order to defend liberalism."
"No man, no group and no nation has the right to any man's individual freedom. No matter how pure the motive, how great the emergency, how high the principle, such action is tyranny and is never justified."
"The dictator is the most abject of all slaves."

"You are a Shamanic Empath. You are at one with nature and can speak with animal/plant life. Your powers come from the Sun & the Moon, and the elements. The weather moves with your mind and all of nature is at your beck and call."
You are a curious person, always in a state of awareness.
Connected to all things spiritual, you are very connected to your soul.
You are wise and bright: able to reason and be reasonable.
Occasionally, you get quite depressed and have dark feelings.
You have great vision and can be very insightful.
In fact, you are often profound in a way that surprises yourself.
Visionary souls like you can be the best type of friend.
You are intuitive, understanding, sympathetic, and a good healer.
Souls you are most compatible with: Old Soul and Peacemaker Soul
You are analytical and logical - and on a quest to learn everything you can.
Smart and complex, you always love a new intellectual challenge.
Your biggest pet peeve is people who slow you down with trivial chit chat.
A quiet maverick, you tend to ignore rules and authority whenever you feel like it.
In love, you are an easy person to fall for. But not an easy person to stay in love with.
Although you are quite flexible, you often come off as aloof or argumentative.
At work, you are both a logical and creative thinker. You are great at solving problems.
You would make an excellent mathematician, programmer, or professor.
How you see yourself: Creative, fair, and tough-minded
When other people don't get you, they see you as: arrogant, cold, and robotic
"If there were reason for these miseries, then into limits could I bind my woes. When heaven doth weep, doth not the earth o'erflow? If the winds rage, doth not the sea wax mad, threat'ning the welkin with his big-swoll'n face? And wilt thou have a reason for this coil?
I am the sea. Hark how her sighs doth blow. She is the weeping welkin, I the earth. Then must my sea be moved with her sighs, then must my earth, with her continual tears, become a deluge overflowed and drowned........"
Hiya friends, here's a great poem from Author Jan's book. But I can send excerpts only. This is the poem that got her signed as well as her International Gold Medal for Best Poem, 2007!! “Addiction”
The hand of death is touching me
Reaching my heart, choking my life
Darkened winds blow through my soul
Please believe in this world of pain
Surrounded by echoes of life
Teasing my soul about love
Make me survive this time
I’m too strong to fall through
A wilderness blinds my staggered eyes
Swerving around into images of blood
Dripping on my hands like gold
This will never be my last drop! ************************
On September 14, 2007, Wisconsin activst Amy Burns sent out a circular urging her readers to go to the Baltimore Sun to join in what is destined to be one of its hottest forums ever, a war of minds over the "sport" of hunting, with emphasis on bow-hunting. While her readers began pondering, comments from the pro-hunting side came in hard and fast. "America's most-hated Anti" Anthony Marr jumped in head first, and so did leading anti-huntresses Tierra and Mamasita. Amazingly, the battle is still raging as we speak, more than two years later in November 23, 2009! The total number of comments so far has exceeded 93,000, and growing. This is a phenomenon, and destined to be a classic, not to be missed if you care about animals at all.
May you embrace God's love that gives birth to you May the innermost dreams of your soul all come true May you fulfill your destiny through the wise use of choice And may all trust in God through the still small voice
God's Dream for You
The most important dream of all is God's dream for you.
It is a sacred plan sealed in your soul that you have the opportunity and the responsibility, through free will, to make come true.
It can become a manifest reality by yielding to God's love, coming into congruency with His will and acting on divine impulse - thus becoming a co-creator in the fulfillment of a God-ordained destiny.
In fulfilling this dream, you become the embodiment of love.
It is not selfishness to fulfill this dream for it does not preclude helping others to fulfill the dream that God has for them. The more we grow in God, the more we live from our soul and the more we give of ourselves to serve the soul of others.
As you make God's dream for you a reality, you will find the peace that abides within and the light of peace will emanate from your soul.
Oh the joy of sweet surrender The Star of Destiny can seem so far away But if we open like the petals of a flower in sunlight We may bask in the glow of its heavenly rays
Let your dream be God's dream for you and may the still small voice within be your inspiration, conscience, teacher and guide.
Calcutta sounds like a fable in a song, but in reality, it is where John, my colleague and successor, was murdered. He was on the job for only three days when he got his throat slashed. As an undercover investigator targeting the illegal wildlife trade, especially in tiger parts, his real name was unknown, even to me, nor mine to him. We were just John and James to each other. All I know is that he was Chinese American, while his predecessor James - real name Anthony Marr - is Chinese Canadian, and how sincere he was in helping to save the Bengal tiger from being poached out of existence, while its habitat continues to dwindle due to human pressure...

The rogue professor entered the basement at thirteen hundred hours. The walls were coated with a mat black rubber. They absorbed the deep blue lighting shining from multiple lamps placed around the room. There appeared to be a large group1 of individuals standing in a grid formation. They were static. Casting steady shadows upon the floor on which they stood. The professor mingled through them. Observing each one with scrutiny. Then, rubbing the stubbles on his head he clearly voiced for the lights to rise to medium exposure. A slight hum filled to room as the human features of all present became more obvious in the rising clarity.
We do have a barbarian at the gate, a demon lurking in the ground, frozen there for eons, now being thawed and released into the living world, where it will roast life alive. If you want to really scare yourself silly, watch this 50 minute video in one go. Turn off the light, and the phone..
