What do angels do when the sun goes down? How the hell should we know, we're busy playing music. Saved by Ruin is a band. A band that plays music. A band that plays really sweet-ass music. Why? Because we love to do so. Take some metal, some punk, some pretty melodics, a little dorkiness, a lot of creativity, enthusiasm, and a tendency towards songs with "ass" in the title, and you've just about got Saved by Ruin. We're out to tear into the CO music scene with a show that's not what you'd expect from four CO girls. Just give us a place to play and we'll be there. Listen to our music samples and let us know what you think!!!
Saved by Ruin has had the honor of sharing the stage with:
Psychostick
Sevendust
Nonpoint
Hemlock
Stephen Pearcy (formerly of Ratt)
Screaming Mechanical Brain
Sometimes, what seems like your ruin can become your saving grace.
Our name came about after the demise of the previous band three of us were in. It also has much more meaning than that. Life is tough sometimes, if it weren't, we wouldn't grow as human beings. Often, if we allow ourselves to fully experience the bad things that happen to us (what feels like complete ruin at the time) we often can get through it and emerge as a stronger human being with lessons learned from the journey into the "darkness." Change is what the universe does. It evolves and grows, therefore it is only natural for us to do the same. By no means is it an easy thing, but if we are brave enough to enter the darkness and work through it, we can be SAVED BY RUIN!!!
Unfortunately, there are times when we as individuals, and even the greater human species as a whole, has to venture through extreme darkness before we can learn to change for the better. Sometimes it takes almost complete destruction and ruin before we see our mistakes and change. We hope to bring a message through our music: Always be authentic and true to yourself, follow your dreams, and never give up, even when it seems there is no hope. And remember that great things can happen when we allow ourselves to be SAVED BY RUIN!!!!

There once was a time in the land where the sun was worshiped as god and its embrace with the moon made the earth hold its breath as time stood still in silence, and at that hour the smothered sun shall cloak the whole world in the dead blackness of midnight giving birth to the Element Of Eclipse.
