DIRECTIONS TO FORT MIFFLIN
South on I-95, take Exit 15 Island Avenue/Enterprise Avenue. At end of exit ramp, you will be on Enterprise Avenue. At stop sign turn left onto Fort Mifflin Road. Follow road, through short tunnel, to the first left turn. See sign on right. After left hand turn, follow signs straight into the Fort. Free Parking is on left. North on I-95, take Exit 13 - Valley Forge/West 291. Bear right and follow sign for Island Avenue. At traffic light (Hilton Hotel on left corner), turn left onto Island Avenue. At stop sign turn left onto Enterprise Avenue. At stop sign, turn right onto Fort Mifflin Road. Follow road, through short tunnel, to the first left turn. See sign on right. After left hand turn, follow signs straight into the Fort. Free Parking is on left.

World War II Event
"Operation Cobra - Breakout at Normandy"
SATURDAY DECEMBER 12TH10 to 4PM
The "Lightning Men" of the 78th Infantry, 309th Regiment landed in France on November 22, 1944. Their purpose was to fight for freedom, democracy, the American way, and most of all for each other. Come to Fort Mifflin on this historic weekend and witness the re-enactment of "Operation Cobra - Breakout at Normandy." Axis and Allies will recreate that awesome struggle and you can experience it. There will be weapons, uniforms and equipment demos throughout the weekend. Two battles each day (check for times soon) and plenty of sutlers using actual and replica WW II wares and weapons. Bring the whole family and watch the "greatest Generation" in action. Bring a veteran or thank one. General Admission fee apply.

Sleeping With The Ghosts
Saturday, February 27th, 2010
6PM to 7AM
Your chance to visit the Fort, hear the stories of the specters that still live here, hear a professional paranormal investigator induce their evidence of paranormal activity, investigate for yourself and then sleep (if you can) overnight in one of several historic buildings inside the Fort buildings. Visit Elizabeth Pratt's room. Jacob's Blacksmith Shop. Along with the casements and the infamous, Casemate #11. Spots are limited. Reservations are required. Cost is only $80 per person.
