About me: Attention all racers and fans who love the Nashville Fairgrounds!!
The Nashville Fairboard is actually considering tearing down the Music City Motorplex to build some Ampitheatre or Baseball stadium. MCM, our track, has been a special, historic place for alot of local and national racers. Many practically grew up there and it has become a part of their lives. This is one outlet in which we can show why it needs to stay. Please become a friend here on this site, and please leave a ton a comments stating why MCM is special to you and why the fairboard needs to support us instead of finding "better use" for the property. Call the fairboard, the governor, and the mayor. Let's show the fairboard why MCM is a historic site for many generations of racers and fans!!
Who I'd like to meet: A supportive Fair Board!!

Thanks for the add!!! I really want to see Metro Motorplex and the tradition carry on. PLease try to put in more seats and bring back the old traditions such as figure 8's, Joey Chetwood shows. That was what made history. I'll never forget all the cool stuff the racetrack has impacted throughout the years. It really has potential to be bigger than Bristol. "Think big!" Dreams can become reality with the right support.
To all you people that want to Save Music City Motorplex please be at this meeting....
There will be a public meeting on May 28 at 7 pm in Wilson Hall to hear the options for the future use of the Fairgrounds. Hopefully one of those uses will be as a venue to hold motor sports.
MCM has become the place for me to come and race, visit with friends, and meet more great people every time I go! Whether you're a racer or a fan, racing is like family...It keeps families together, helps to strengthen those bonds, and brings strangers together in friendship.
And if all you care about is the bottom line, here it is: The Music City Motorplex has existed for over 100 years to provide thrills for fans and challenges for drivers. It’s been the starting place for many famous drivers and for future famous drivers. I know racers who, without racing at MCM, wouldn’t have anything else to do but get into trouble on the street. The Friday night drags give would-be street racers a place to show off and race their high-performance cars under a controlled environment. Even with that, I saw racing going on around the Stadium in Nashville on Saturday night….imagine how much worse it would be without the speedway.
There's just so many good things that come from the fairgrounds...MCM should be saved and improved! It should be a place of enjoyment and pride for the city of Nashville.
keep the track alive,I went to all the busch and truck races at the fairgrounds, but I still havent gone to the superspeedway and dont really plan on it
