What hope do we offer the nuclear race?
And what do we do with the nuclear waste?
We can’t bury it down, it can’t swim in the sea,
So what do we do with this grim legacy?
Well I’ll tell you the truth, and I’ll make it quite plain,
We can’t shoot it in space, or let it wash down the drain.
So we leave it behind for the kids yet to come,
That bittersweet taste of the nuclear bomb.
Well the kids of tomorrow have no words to say
For the world we leave and the price they will pay.
Caretakers are we and for what do we stand?
For the love of the life on this sacred land.
What hope for the child in this world of ill care
Lies deep with the meek on a wing and a prayer,
That these Gods will see reason for the land, sea, and air,
And the hope in the future for the life that lives there.
Caretakers are we, and for what do we stand?
For the love of the life on this sacred land.
What reason for money when you can’t breathe the air?
And the oceans and lakes they lay barren and bare,
And the streams and the rivers run sewerage and poison
With no drink to spair,
Caretakers are we, and for what do we stand?
For the love of the life on this sacred land.
The ice caps are melting thers holes in the sky, we poison the earth for the sake of a lie, its time for the one and the all standing by to take hold of the reigns and put an end to this crime for we are the meek and now is our time,,,,caretakers are we and for what do we stand,, for the love of all life on this sacred land www. goodisplanetearth.

Global warming is going to affect your children and your grandchildren. We must start reducing our use of fossil fuels now, if we want to preserve our planet. A few very simple steps could help reduce our carbon dioxide emissions.Music

Power plants, cattle, and cars are some of the major contributors of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide and methane.
Some possible effects of global warming are the inundation of low-lying islands due to rising sea levels, increased frequency of severe storms, and the retreat of glaciers and icecaps.~NASACarbon dioxide emissions from personal vehicles in the United States equaled 314 million metric tons in 2004. That much carbon could fill a coal train 55,000 miles long—long enough to circle the Earth twice.
Americans produce 25% of the worlds carbon dioxide pollution from fossil-fuel burning.

10 Things You Can Do to Reduce Global WarmingThese ten steps can greatly reduce the level of carbon dioxide you produce. When you use fossil fuels like gas, oil, and coal it increases the levels of carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide accounts for 50 percent of greenhouse gas emissions.

1) Drive Less and Drive Smart- When possible, choose alternatives to driving such as public transit, biking, walking, carpooling, and bundle your errands together so you'll make fewer trips. When you have to drive keep your car maintained by keeping your tires inflated properly, getting your car tuned, replacing the air filter every 12,000 miles, using the proper motor oil, and keep junk out of your trunk reducing the weight of the car increases gas mileage. Every gallon of gas burned puts 20 pounds of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.3) Recycle- Decomposing trash in landfills produces methane gas. Methane gas accounts for about 16% of the greenhouse gases. Methane gas is twenty times more effective than carbon dioxide at trapping heat. Don't burn garbage. This releases carbon dioxide and hydrocarbons into the atmosphere.
2) Get new Light Bulbs- Replace your bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs. You can save about $45 in electricity costs over the life of a compact fluorescent bulb. Lighting accounts for about 20% of all electricity use in the country and about 15% of electricity use in our homes.
4) Use Less Heat and Air Conditioning- Turn your down your thermostat. Adjusting your thermostat by 2% lower in the winter and 2% higher in the summer could save about 2,000 pounds of carbon dioxide annually. You can also save about 25% on your power bill by adding weather stripping and insulation to the walls and attic.

5) Buy energy-efficient electronics and appliances- The next time you buy a car choose one that gets better gas mileage. When you need to replace an old refrigerator, air conditioner, or heating system buy an energy-efficient model this will save you money on your electricity bill and cut global warming pollution. Look for the Energy Star label on new appliances or go to www.energystar.gov to find the most energy-efficient products.10) Get politically involved- Sign petitions, and email your elected officials.6) Use Less Water- Get low flow showerheads and water saving faucet adaptors for your sinks. Lower the temperature of your water heater and wrap it with a water heater insulation blanket. Wash your clothes in warm or cold water to reduce your use of hot water and the energy required to produce it. This change alone can save at least 500 pounds of carbon dioxide annually in most households. Also when you can turn the water off when you are washing the car , brushing your teeth, or washing the dishes instead of letting it go down the drain.
7) Turn it “off”- Anytime you save electricity you are helping. Turn off lights, TVs, radios, computers, and unplug anything possible. Appliances can use up to 40% of there power even when they are off.
8) Plant a Tree- Trees absorb CO2 as they grow, and therefore the work of forest restoration is also a positive step to counter global warming. It is not possible to eliminate all CO2 emissions immediately, so in the interim the next best thing is to reduce the impact of those emissions which are unavoidable by planting trees.
9) Tell others- Inform you friends, family, and neighbors on ways they can conserve there use of fossil fuels. Get your community involved. Try changing some of your routines for instance, when you go to the store ask your neighbor if they need anything while your going out. Less trips, less gas.
