About me: I set up this MySpace to help in the plight to SAVE THE 4400, recently cancelled by the USA Network, we must use 'fan power' to help us get some closure.
On the 1st February 2008 gather up as many sunflower seeds as you can muster (and a polite letter) and send them to the following address:
Bonnie Hammer USA NETWORK 30 Rockefeller Plaza 21st Floor New York NY 10112
And then every day afterwards for a week.
For UK or overseas fans you can use www.giantseeds.com to ship direct to the network.
Just letting you know that there's several groups to Save the 4400 on Facebook and VampireFreaks and lots more. Several of them have different petitions as well.
By the way, there's this petition to Save the 4400 that's going good, but it needs a lot more signatures. Can you help by signing and passing it along to anyone you know?
Too bad 4400 was cancelled due to its dumbed down clone heroes...dont get me wrong I love Heroes...but for NBC/USA to pull the plug and give us the excuse that its because of budgets and wanting to take the network in a different direction...when the truth is people would have caught on to the fact that heores is just the 4400 rehashed and dumbed down...so to save face for a show that didnt have as strong a a second season as its first unlike 4400 whos seasons got better and better is ridiculous...NBC can kiss my ass...the new head honcho has no idea what hes doing...
Haven't heard anything about them bringing this amazingly entertaining show back. maybe NBC put on the pressure so that the rip off show called Heroes wouldn't look as much like a rip off. Would have been nice if they had at least given us a shorter season to put some answers to the questions they spent four years making us ask. LIKE WHAT THEY WERE TRYING TO SAVE US FROM EXACTLY. USA network doesn't exist anymore on my cable. I have it deleted just like the shopping networks, religious channels and spanish channels. USA NETWORK sucks now.
4400 is a terrific show. I really think it deserves another season at least. I have to say this unexpected cancellation makes me nervous about committing to other USA shows like Burn Notice. How can get into another USA show when it's so obvious they will just cut anchor unexpectedly.
Finnegan here, Thanks for the Add. Here it is near May 2008, and still no Clear Word. I have seen a few blogs on the fact that USA still hasnt removed the show from its roster, and is playing reruns of the show, obviously still very popular, but still not committing to giving it the final season that it needs for closure. Who doesnt want to see Jacqi and Joel back in action? And why shouldn't we give the predate show to "Heroes" some clean rounding off? One more season Bonnie, please?
I find it interesting that USA hasn't removed it from their website yet, AND, not to mention, on their program schedule, they have reruns showing at 3 am on Sundays in April and May so far. That's like using your ex because there's nothing else to do at the time....how sleazy.....
Wish you a great weekend! Are there any responses from Bonnie Hammer yet??? I'm thinking of The 4400 all the time! We have to fight! Tom Baldwin & Diana Skouris, the returnees, the staff and fans of 4400 FOREVER! ♥ Best wishes from Hungary, Melinda
How are things going with The 4400? I have written and written to The USA Network, but have not heard back ANYTHING from them! Do you have any good news??? - Thanks, David
What about contacting TV Guide? Are they influential enough? Heck, I haven't opened an actual TV Guide in years - but I remember they used to do short stories and interviews each issue back in the day.
It's a shame to see that USA network is promoting series such "Burn Notice" which lacks creativity, imagination and is totally predictable. It clearly insults our IQ :P
Maybe they just want their viewers to be of the average or lower brain activity. I can live without Promise city. So can you! The show must go on but apparently it wont. So, next time you guys outside the US,choose to watch and commit to an american series, do some backround check first. Apart from the plot and the cast, check the producers and the network it was broadcasted at!
You don't want to go buying dvds of a series that it'll be discontinued leaving you with unanswered questions and some occupied space on your dvd library!
Thanks for adding me! I wasn't even aware that the show was cancelled until one of my friends told me about it. It's a great show and didn't deserve that! We need to fight to bring this show back on!
Thanks for accepting the add you are my first friend! I noticed a comment someone left on your page about people standing in front of the USA network building however someone on the forums mentioned fans in that area going to the today show, if they could get air time on the today show it would get the word out more. I'm a huge fan of the 4400 and didn't even know it was canceled until yesterday. Keep up the good work!
I just want to let you know that I got my box of sunflower seeds sent back to me today, marked "REFUSED". Before the Giants Seeds thing happened, I already had my seeds and had 50 signatures to go with it. I'm very unhappy about the time I put into this just to have it sent back to me, unopened, and knowing that my letter wasn't even read by ANYONE at the network!!!
With this type of support, I believe the 4400 will resurface in some way, shape or form.I wish I could make the rally. Those who do, have my support. I signed the pettion. I need to send some seeds as well.
We are trying to put together a Save The 4400 Rally on March 5th/@ USA 30 Rockefeller Plaza NY. Please check out www.the4400.com and respond if you can join us. We are trying to get a head count as to how many people can attend and we are checking to make sure it is all legal. Thanks any other Ideas/let us know.
Hey Guys, We have just posted a blog about your sunflower seeds campaign on our myspace page. Come visit our rock the ratings forum which is especially for fans of TV shows that have been cancelled or are in danger of being cancelled, so as to share campaign tips and put pressure on the Neilson ratings system.
