Deep Ellum Enrichment Project "D.E.E.P."
D.E.E.P. is blend of Deep Ellum Residents, Business Owners, Employees, Musicians, Artists, the Dallas Police Department, and Friends of Deep Ellum that have come together to rejuvenate our neighborhood.
As the neighborhood has begun to quiet down in relation to crime, D.E.E.P. has been developed in order to assist in reviving our great neighborhood. We are work closely with the Deep Ellum Residents Council, Deep Ellum Association and the City Council. We are always looking for new people to get involved! Our meetings are rotated every Tuesday @ 9pm in the Deep Ellum district to promote exposure to area businesses and explore what the area has to offer. D.E.E.P. meetings are not a public forum for the problems that face Deep Ellum, or a place to rant about them, it is a positive organization headed towards issues that we can tackle on our own through fund raising and volunteer efforts as well as event planning.
Deep Ellum Sell'um is another great project from the Deep Ellum Enrichment Project (DEEP). This group works on planning fun, unique events for Deep Ellum residents and visitors. This latest project is designed to balance the night life scene in Deep Ellum with a fun event where anyone may participate. The market is open to anyone wishing to sell whatever they like from vintage fashion, local arts and crafts to stuff found in the garage. Check back often for dates and details!
