I used to be a patriot and think I was free but when the basic laws of nature are are taken from me and my family we all are far from free!! My brother is a singer song writer and his freedom of speech has been taken away from him he is not to mention Cannabis in his music anymore, because of a Cannabis conviction he is a awesome guy and would never hurt a soul! But has been stripped of his freedom of speech which should never be taken away! If there is anything I can do, I will, please let me know!!

Tina Funk	Dec 15 2008 5:51 PM I do believe marijuana should be legalized.. as well as Ma Huang, which was outlawed a couple of years ago, and poppy plants a lot longer ago. Next to be outlawed will be Salvia. I do, however, believe the things that the video stated are a little 'overkill'. You must stick to hard cold facts. When any herb's chemical composition is changed, which smoking (heat) does to marijuana, can we honestly say that it is 'natural'? If that is true, then we must also say alcohol and tobacco are 'natural'. Smoking any substance will produce tar in the lungs, thus creating a breeding ground for cancer cells. Marijuana is already used by pharmaceutical companies to fight the side effects of treatments for cancer (much too high in concentration in dosage), and I frequently see items produced using hemp for sale in stores. I believe the main reason so many 'things' become illegal in the US is because many people look for a scapegoat when something goes wrong, and do not take personal responsibility for using, or mis-using, a substance. Blaming for profit, through legal suites against companies and corporations, as well as suing the FDA, seems to be a popular past-time. Today, we see this manifesting in a recession/depression, from people being too stupid to read contracts before signing them.. to banks being so stupid as to buy the contracts in 'bundles' and expecting the average tax-payer to bail them out. Greed. If people want more personal freedoms, then they must be willing to take more personal responsibilites!
