Saw*Kick Media was born on June 1, 2006 and was originally launched to host the Internet radio station Saw*Kick Radio. The initial idea behind S*KR was to bring a radio station to the people that played good honest music and went beyond the latest hit single. After certain legal matters, brought forth by the RIAA, made it financially impossible for Saw*Kick Radio to survive, its founder J-Man Joey Giangola was forced to restructure his initial plan for virtual music harmony.
On May 16, 2007 Saw*Kick Media officially hit the World Wide Web. Left dazed and confused from the blow by the RIAA, S*KM stumbled through another year of awkward growing pains, serving as both a sports and music blog. It wasn’t until April 12, 2008 that Saw*Kick Media transformed into the exclusive local, regional, and national music oasis you find today.
From its humble beginnings as an obscure Internet radio station, to its confused college days of sports and music blogging, Saw*Kick Media has amasses a following of 25,000 hungry music fans and counting and receives over 200,000 page hits a month.
Saw*Kick Media is now on a mission to provide the people of Northeast Ohio and beyond with extensive coverage of quality music in need of support. While S*KM is headquartered in Stow, Ohio and heavily rooted in the surrounding music scene, no band or artist will be overlooked as music is incapable of seeing state lines.
Saw*Kick Media is always in need of talented up and coming bands to fill the site with, if you would like to get our attention contact bands@sawkick.com.
We are also looking for talented people to contribute to this budding music media outlet. We are a taking break from recording, for our aniversary which is featuring other great acts such as: Skel Riffton, Catera, Snuff Film, Not This Body, and Born Empty.

Its all ages! doors open at 7:00pm they sell fairly cheap beer and wine there, but security's loose, and i'm sure their drinks aren't as cheap as stuffing a 5th of 110 vodka into your girlfiends purse, Just a heads up. I don't like our fans being discuraged to come see good music by bar prices.

Also for those of you who aren't familiar with Halloween in Kent, it is the biggest Halloween festival in Ohio drawing anywhere from 10,000 to 25,000 costumed drunks ready to reek mayham downtown till the sun comes up. So the after party will be right there waiting.
The Kent Stage is located right in the heart of downtown Kent, you can't miss it.

And here we have some short news from the front for you:
The recordings to our album IN BLACK DESPAIR (IBD) are finished! The mastering of the tracks will follow.
Then we will try to find the right label, to come out with IBD as soon as possible!
We can promise to you, right now:
IBD is going to be really, really sick! And that’s how it should be!!!
The album was recorded at RAPE OF HARMONIES, Triptis & Schmölln. (Germany)
There will be a Makin-Of-Video also.
