Sawn-Off Opera is a new North-West collaborative presenting a series of new mini-operas by Composer & Writer Ailis Ni Riain in collaboration with Writer David Gaffney. We are collaborating on a set of Sawn-off Operas which are set in a hotel. Our first opera We Know We Got Soul was supported by Arts Council England and premiered on BBC Radio 3 'The Verb' in 2008. Out next two operas, also funded by Arts Council England will be premiered in October 2009 at The Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester. These tales are wicked, sexy, funny and downright bizarre.
