Sawteeth McTweedy creates music in their old farmhouse on 9 acres in Bahama, North Carolina. Between them, they play guitar, banjo, piano, toy piano, kalimbe, drums, trumpet, accordian. They like weird sounds, off-beat music, outsider art and all sorts of people...and admire especially those living under the radar. They find it hard to relate to well-adjusted people, but they still believe in love. In addition, they cling to good old fashioned values, like being nice to people.
Indy Music Editor Grayson Currin writes: "Outsider poetry/insider sounds: Using piano, acoustic guitars, horns and percussion to bend folk structures into shifty props for shambolic reels on society, spirituality and expectations, Sawteeth proselytizes a creation liberation".
"Sawteeth has created textured, off-kilter folk-esque music that borrows from Flavor Flav and Stephen Crane in the same song, that looks around at America, simultaneously laughing and heaving a sigh of pain."
