I chose the domain name "saxy.us" because music and energy isn't about "me" it's about "us". Thanks to Julia and Nicole for starting the "Saxy" phenomenon, and providing the motivation to start up this site! I'll be honest and admit I definitely play better when there are sexy women calling out "Saxy" to me when I play!

Live jams... either with other live players or just music I like... and sometimes just cinema of the bizarre can be seen either below or at http://beepdeeply.us/cam/!

Like a surprising number of sax players, I started out at around age 5 on piano, classically trained, spent a number of years as a professional choral singer as I migrated from Soprano down to Counter-Tenor before my voice changed. Since then, my vocals have been limited to DJing at various NY radio stations, and Radio InfoWeb, voice-overs for television commercials, and videos of various kinds.

I've been playing sax and various other brasswinds and woodwinds since Junior High, albeit punctuated by long periods of not playing at all. But why play Sax? I find the Sax lets me express my musical feelings and emotions the best given my own set of skills and experiences. The kind of music I like best (centered around Fusion music) is a mixture of the cerebral, technique, and most important emotion and feeling. My Mom, who was fascinated with my early interest in Fusion, and of course fostered my early experiences as a musician, calls it "Musician's Music".

I've played with the Reggae Fusion band International Generation. I also played in Beep Deeply, and I jammed with many of the people in the Nyack rock music scene, including folks from Glint, Zero Volume Division, Pat McGrath, and more.

Beep Deeply is the name I'm using to post jams from the Arty and Chris jamspace. I've already set up a MySpace Music site for Beep Deeply, so look for more about it here soon, or go there now and become a friend of Beep Deeply!

Recently, I've moved to Boulder, Colorado, and am playing with Saturn Returns, Walnutbutter and other bands: stay tuned!

Thanks again for the conversation... I really needed it. I am also sending you this note to remind you, incase you have forgotten, how fantastic fruit is. I had the pleasure of enjoying some strawberries after our run in and the funny thing about this paticular kind of fruit, and perhaps a few others, is that you can examine each berry to the best of your abilities but without having tasted each strawberry you'd never know which were sweeter! AND as a matter of fact.. some of the most attractive strawberries ended up tasting the blandest... IMAGINE THAT!

Hey brother. Great sharing the Opus Stage. We should play more shows together. Perhaps next time we can get over the feedback issues and really rock it out. We are scheduled to play at Olive's on 4/20 but I dunno if that will actually happen. Great jam last night even though it was so short lived. Bob needed to release some angst and didn't get to. I'll probably see you tonight. Peas and carrots!

Saturday? Sweet deal right? See you this week, but I'm going to lay low because life has been a non'stop party since my b-day. Good for my mind, bad for my body. I'm still trying to separate the two. Peace and love brother - Dylan

Well.. I LOVE the cello, and I am turned on by its shape, altho skinny things tend to arouse me more.... either way, i'd be happy to incorporate it into a picture or a pose, if you (or anyone else) could acquire a cello for me. I am waay too broke to save up for one at the moment. On that note, if you know any cello players let them know I am going to need cello on my album. If they're sexy, they can pose nude behind the cello on the album cover. :)
