About “The Girls”:
Sayer McShane play a unique blend of blues, Motown, funk, soul, pop and rock. Together for almost ten years now, the band has opened for everyone from Buddy Guy to Robin Trower. Sayer McShane was chosen as the headlining act for the 2007 North Carolina State Fair playing to thousands of people and are scheduled to play many more festivals across the country this year. Two videos of the band performing their originals at the NC State Fair fair can be seen below. The band appeals to an incredibly diverse audience that includes people regardless of age, gender, color, culture or musical preference making them well suited for most any event or occasion. "The Girls" as they are called always pleasantly surprise people with their big sound and play the core instruments guitar and drums while singing lead and harmony. They also play all the instruments used to round out their arrangements and run their own recording studio. Kristin sings lead, plays guitars, bass, keys, tenor sax, drums, writes, arranges and produces their music. Carolyn sings lead and harmony, plays drums, percussion, keys, guitars, records and engineers their music. You can see examples of their diverse musical ability in their photo gallery. They also love to entertain the crowd with their fun, upbeat, interactive dialogue in and between songs. Simply put, The Girls really put on an amazing show unlike anything you've seen before.
