Movies
There was a movie that had a scene with a mom that went crazy and danced with her kids in the rain and went to an insane assylum. Maybe I'd like to be that lady.... you know... try it out for a week.
Television
Don't have one.
Books
Dumbing Us Down (John Taylor Gatto), How Children Fail and How Children Learn (John Holt), The Bell Curve (Richard Herrnstein), Continuum Concept
Heroes
Anyone that makes it to the end of their life with a sense of satisfaction, accomplishment, peace and most of all love.
About me: First and foremost, I am "mama" to 3 kids - and in the process of becoming licensed as a foster parent. I have spent my mothering years practicing natural parenting (extended breastfeeding, co-sleeping, attachment parenting, homeschooling - - for more about our homeschooling and homesteading adventures - check out our online scrapbook and journal: www.sailforfreedom.com).
Life on the "farm" brings new adventures almost daily... we've got Turkeys that can't figure out how to get back in their home at the end of the day, lambs that prance like deer, and rabbits that reproduce like there is no tomorrow.
My dream is to live in an old farmhouse with my love and settle in to a life of simplicity, chickens, children, gardens, books, games, mindfullness, travel, service, and homemade bread.
I am also an investor - striving for financial freedom rich dad style... er... uh... fastlane style. I am so grateful for what I have learned financially over the last few years. It is this that allows me to continue to homeschool my kids.
If you care about young minds... watch this and pass it on!
and this...

Hi! I'm back from maternity leave now and in the process of re-connecting with everyone. I hope you're having a wonderful new year and can't wait to hear what you've been up to!
So are you still headed to PHX in July? well get ready it's been over 110+ degree and only 85 for the low. I'd give anything for a MT summer again but can I still have the AZ winter weather?? haha!
Hey Sonya, I have a questions about breastfeeding. I have had mastitis for about 6 weeks now and am taking antibiotics again to get the infection gone hopefully for good but do you have any suggestions for what to do to keep it gone or from getting plugged ducts which I tend to get often? Thanks so much for your input
