I go to church to learn more about God & what He expects of me, try to not cuss (which is next to impossible sometimes), & basically just try to be a good person.
Music
I love contemporary Christian music, also old time rock & roll, like Skynyrd, the Eagles, & REO. Some of the new stuff sounds like a mess to me, but James digs it pretty well. My son Cody is in a band, All The Agents, & I love hearing them play! He makes me so proud!
Movies
My favorites are Charlie & the Chocolate Factory (the original), & the Wizard of Oz. More recent ones are Death Race (Jason Stathem is so buff!), Resident Evil (any), Ghosts of Mars (if you haven't seen it, you should check it out), Rent, the Notebook, & anything Stephen King!
Television
I regularly watch CSI Miami, American Idol, Blues Hockey, & STL Cardinals. If James is home, we watch a variety of programs, usually at the same time as he despises commercials! When I'm feeling onery I'll hide the remote & watch him scramble!
Books
Stephen King, any of his stories are rad. Also Dean Koontz, & the Harry Potter books were pretty awesome. Oh, yeah, & the Bible. That one's amazing cause you can never know it all, there's always a lesson.
Heroes
My children are my heroes. They have shown me more about life than I ever could of shown them, & how to live it. Also my mom & dad cause they're the absolute best in the world. I'm adopted, & they picked ME! How lucky I was.

About me: I've been married for 15 years to James, a marvelous man who loves me & tells me tons of times a day! My kids are almost all grown now (sigh!) but I've so very proud of each & every one of them (4). Rachael is the oldest, lives with her girlfriend Kim in KC & just left for home after visiting 3 days with us! Cody is next, engaged to Hayley & getting married in October. Then there's Jessica, who has a 22 mo old daughter Myah, & is the brightest spot of sunshine in our lives! Brian is the "baby", almost 17, & although he lives at home, I probably see him as often as the others, which is not enough! They were all here with me Thursday, though, & I was very blessed & overwhelmed, having them all together & close to me. God is awesome & has been so very good! What more could a girl ask for?
Who I'd like to meet: Jesus, of course, one day. Other than that, all the special people I can think of I already have in my life! :0)
