So, I think we need to share the music we like to hoop to with the hooping community. Sometimes a song is just perfect for hooping if you know what I mean :-)

What to say, what to say. Well, as is probably obvious from this page I love hooping! It is such a fun way to destress and have a good time how can anyone not like hooping?
I am hoping that this myspace page can serve as a central place for information about hooping in Santa Barbara!

| Purchasing an Adult Hoop |
I know of a few different places you can buy a hoop locally, although I haven't personally bought a hoop from all of them:
Astrohoops
Custom hoops to your exact specifications made by Lisa and KiT! Travel hoops are also available! Prices range from $30-$45 for adult hoops. Kids hoops are $20. Email astrohoops@gmail.com to place an order. Normally takes 1-3 days to make hoop after order is placed :-)

There is a woman named Chris that sells hoops every Sunday at the local craft show down on the waterfront. She sells both kid and adult hoops!

| Yay! Many different hoopdance classes in Santa Barbara! |
1) Tuesdays 7:30-8:30pm is a beginner's hoopdance class at Studio E!Class is taught by KiT - assisted by Lisa. Come learn new moves and hoop to your hearts content! The mirrors are also a great learning tool! Classes are $10-$16 per class - pay what you can. Contact AstroHoops@gmail.com for more information.
2) CHANGED: Thursdays from 7:30-8:30pm is an intermediate hoopdance class! Join KiT from AstroHoops at Studio E. in a fun class for experienced hoopers! Contact AstroHoops@gmail.com for more information.
3) Classes at the YMCA! There are now 2 different classes at the YMCA! Great opportunity for YMCA members to get some hooping experience for free :-)
a) Fridays at 4:30pm at SB location
b) Sundays at 1:00pm at SB location

| Upcoming Hooping Activities |
Every Sunday at the Art Walk from 10:00am to 2:00pm the Hoop Hut sells hoops. Head on over to practice your hoop skills, laugh, play, shop and enjoy the sunny day!

Every week on Saturdays is a wonderful drum circle - it is starting around 4:30pm now since it gets dark out much later. The drum circle is near Chase Palm park - past Stearns Wharf towards Montecito area - just look for the drummers! These circles are lots of fun because they attract a diverse crowd and there is a ton of room for hooping.

January 2009: KiT from AstroHoops was awarded the fire hooper of the year by Hooping.org! Congratulations! To find out more, visit hooping.org and look for the hoopie awards.
Nov 14th KiT from AstroHoops was on Jimmy Kimmel Live! She was featured with Ludacris and T-Pain as a fire dancer. Check out the top video on this page to see the performance :)
End of October: KiT from AstroHoops filmed for the new Britney Spears video! She was the only fire performer on set! The music video was just released! She has a brief appearance towards the end of the video!
Mid-October: KiT from AstroHoops was on CSI:NY LED hooping! Check out the Episode called "Sex, Lies, and Silicone" - you can see the entire episode on the CSI website. Her main feature is in the first 10 minutes so it is definitely worth a peak!
