The "Good-Bad" Movie.
A rare and special breed of film... created by only the most perfect blend of writing, acting and directing. The end result? Kick-ass entertainment.
The So Bad It's Good Film Fest, in association with Masked Movie Snobs (click here) proudly present their monthly screenings in Los Angeles at the Vista Theatre.
For only $10, you'll get to see cult classics. Deliciously bad movies that would normally never make it to the big screen again.
All movies will be 35mm prints, some rare and hard to find -- NO DVDs!!! And each screening will have raffles, contests, and prizes (oh my!). You may even get a surprise visit from the writer, director, cast, or crew.

THANK YOU for last night's screening of The Apple! I've seen it many times in the comfort of my living room, but that can't compare to seeing it on the big screen with a super-receptive audience of bad movie freaks. Truly awesome. See you soon!
NOOO!!! One of my favorite films!!! Dang this war!!! Hate that I'm gonna miss it, but seeing that I'll be on leave roughly 2500+ miles from the theater I'll make a note to rent a copy and watch it the same night...and hell who knows, I may dress up as Joan as well...hey, the policy is "Don't ask, don't tell"...Hope it's a blast!!
chuck klosterman on road house; and/or, the idea of something like 'so bad it's good'...
5. Guilty Pleasures [IV pg 259-263] - I am not sure if anyone actually invented the term "guilty pleasure," since - in and of itself - it seems like a reasonable way to describe certain activities. For example, it is pleasurable to snort cocaine in public restrooms, and it always makes you feel guilty; as such, lavatory cocaine fits perfectly into this category. However, almost no one who uses the term "guilty pleasure" is referring to situation like these; people who use the term "guilty pleasure" in casual conversation are often talking about why they like Patrick Swayze's Road House. This drives me insane for two reasons: by labeling things like Patrick Swayze as guilty pleasures, it somehow dictates that (a) people should feel bad for liking things they sincerely enjoy, and (b) if these same people were not somehow coerced into watching Road House every time it comes on TBS, they'd just as likely be reading A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man.
