“I Gotta make It in This Rap Game” said By Boogie. Born October, 31 1986 De’Shawn Lamar Golley To Chanail Jones (Mother) No Father .BooGie Came In to this world hands down the most Happy Kid you would have ever meet. Behind that smile and laugh this kid had a hard life already. With His Mother only 16 years of age and no pops, and to add to that his mother had family issues. Boogie and his mother moved out in to the world. From Palm Springs California to Los Angeles his mother found a Small apt Right on Rosecrans and Lemoli. Too Keep BooGie’s mind off not really having much family His Mother kept him involved in sports. Basketball, Football, Baseball, is what he lived. As he developed in sports boogie main focus was football He was little but played bigger then everyone on the field. Years past and at sports he continued to get better but during middle school all sports came to an end. Life became unrealistic.
Boogie: (7th grade was 1 of the worst but learning times in my like)
In 7th grade boogie and his family came to what a lot of people would call the end. No Home his family of 4 would sleep from hotel to hotel. Then Taken in by his grandmother his mother quickly jump back on her feet. Finding a apt in South Central Los Angeles 54th and Western. “Boogie: That Had to be the best apt we lived in and not cause it look like cause it was trash but my small fam never were as close as we were there”
Yr 2000 after Graduating Middle school Boogie and his younger Brother went to live in Bakersfield were Sport came back into boogie vision. 9th grade boogie went back to football still small but one of the best running back seen in Kern County. “9th grade I was a beast living with my brothers dad wasn’t koo at all so I took it out on the field” having a Great Season Boogie was Sidelined with a back Injury. With boogie not on the field the grade went down hill. School was a never to big on Boogie he jus went as it came. In 2001 he came back to Los Angeles with his mother. Living where he lived he was to attend Crenshaw High School. Tried That and it didn’t work not even 1 day and the school was putting him out. Boogie was put in Westchester High School. Still not a fan of school he continue to get in trouble. 11th Grade Sent to Continuation With no sports and not to much interaction at the his old classmates Boogie went to work.
BooGie 1st Job Was Petco. “Boogie: We All Gotta Start Somewhere LOL”
With Boogie Now Working School was really nothing now. He spent most of his time working and this is where music came into play. He meet a co-worker Derrick Smith aka Wayze. “Boogie: When I meet Wayze he told me he rap.. I was like Nigga u don’t even talk lol..But then I heard him spit I was like DAMN!!!” Boogie’s relative Darrell Keel aka Young Fatal Did the Rap thing so boogie would play around and rap with YF when they walked to school. At This time Boogie Wasn’t really in the The whole rap part but he had a ear for music. Wayze had A Producer but was looking for a different sound so wayze to Boogie On and helped him learn how to make beatz. There Would be in the Studio every day Beats was wut Boogie Love but being in the Studio with Wazye everyday He would pick up on the small things. Recording, Editing, and soon enough Rap Writing, Delivery. “BooGie: most people start to rap in high school or Before I started when I was 19 or 20 but it was something I loved to so I putt 100 to making it work and having wayze help me” With wayze On Boogie side there was no way he couldn’t get it down. They had a Group/label Rock Hard Entertainment not really feeling that they became Get A Grip Entertainment. Everyday Was A grind for them but this is what they wanted so nothing was go stop them. At the age of 23 Boogie has improved and still Growing . Boogie brings the West Coast life with a little party to u. Him and wayze continue the Grind for Stardom and wont let up till they get it.
