COURTESY OF NICK!
Straightedge Buddhist Strippers came together in the summer of 2005. In that time, they have released a critically aclaimed EP "New Innovations In Boredom". Of which the EP's single, "Theory Of A Conspiracy" appeared on comps, podcasts, internet radio, and film soundtracks, from Portland, to Seattle, to New York, to Canada. Even the UK. SBStrippers have played countless shows, benefits, and festivals. All the while, continuing to write new music and developing their sound. A conbination of the best elements of roots punk, indie garage rock, and American power pop.
Now in 2007, SBStrippers have released their debut full length album, "Completed Catastrophes". The sound is gritty, primal, and spilling over with angst. 10 songs culminating a year of thoughts, discussions, and experiences in the life of SBStrippers. The first single, "Awful Corners (of the globe)" picks up energy-wise, where "Theory" left off. SBStrippers played more shows in support. To bigger audiences, and greater positive response. Sadly we came to a end. We all went seperate ways musically. So keep your eye out there for all of us cause chances are the music we are making will be even better. Thanks to all of you that supported us and believed in us and good night!
