Emerging from the heart of the Orange County
hardcore scene, Strength Behind Tears has
been at the cusp of musical progression since
their conception in late 1999. But don't be
fooled, Strength Behind Tears is no ordinary
"hardcore" band. Each member of the group
brings their own unique influences into the mix
to ensure a sound you've never heard before.
Despite a few lineup changes, SBT continued
to remain a driving force in the local scene and
eventually grew into the solid lineup we know
today.
Strength Behind tears has always placed
themselves a cut above the rest when it comes
to their stage presence and high energy
performance every time they play. After
proving themselves and gaining the respect of
their piers in the Los Angeles and Orange
County hardcore scene, SBT decided it's time
to go into the studio. So in 2001, the group
released a self-produced, three song demo
recorded at Love Juice Labs. The response
was amazing. Every time they played, they ran
out of CD's, and naturally, their fan base began
to grow along with their respect and notoriety.
Along with the notoriety came bigger and better
shows. So far, Strength Behind Tears has
shared the stage with national acts such as:
Scars Of Tomorrow, xDEATHSTARX,
Undying, If Hope Dies, Animosity, Hoods, The
Program, As Hope Dies and many more to
come.
In September 2005 SBT headed back to the
studio to record a new 7 song EP, and the guys
did not disappoint anyone with this release.
True to their claims, they released an EP full of
unique aggression and breakdowns. Since the
release, Strength Behind Tears has been playing
shows constantly, including shows in Mexico
and a national tour in the Summer of
2006.
Simply put, Strength Behind Tears is
completely devoted to the music they create
and those who take time to listen. You will not
find a band as passionate or devoted to what
they do as Strength Behind Tears.
