OUR YOUTH is an LGBT Youth Organization that provides services to LGBT youth ages 13 -18 in the NY NJ CT Tri –State Area. OUR YOUTH services include various important
education and social activities for its members.
OUR YOUTH provides weekly book and movie nights, LGBT music and history workshops with LGBT Musician /Performer Guest Speakers and special LGBT OUR YOUTH concerts, Licensed HIV testing and counseling, college / career information support, group discussions on current events including LGBT / LGBT friendly topic specific Guest speaker participation, OUR YOUTH member LGBT Pride and Expo Youth participation, Creative Arts
Internship / Career Information etc.
AVP - The New York City Anti-Violence Project is dedicated to eliminating hate violence, sexual assault, stalking, and domestic violence in lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and HIV-affected communities through counseling, advocacy, organizing,
and public education.
AVP provides free and confidential assistance to thousands of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and HIV-affected (LGBTQH) people each year from all five boroughs of New York City.
The organization maintains a 24- hour, Spanish/English bilingual hotline staffed by professional counselors and trained volunteers providing professional and peer support counseling, as well as advocacy with police, courts, and
social service agencies.
