Danny Massure's latest release 'Put It On Me' brings the sounds of acid jazz to the club. The fresh sound is due in part to the featured Seattle funk masters Tracy Ferrara on sax, Jeff Conlin on keys, Jason Graczyk on guitar and Matt Reid on trumpet. The funk gets flipped by remixers BadboE, Jayl Funk, The Breakbeat Junkie and Omegaman.
AperitiVicious presenta per la rassegna MAMMUT ART CONCEPT la mostra di pittura LE PIETRE DI ORFEO Il pittore di Aragona Giuseppe Rizzo dal 28 gennaio all'11 febbraio esporrà le proprie opere al Mammut Club di Catania, in Via San Lorenzo, nell'ambito della rassegna Mammut Art Concept organizzata in una location versatile e polifunzionale con un originale allestimento dal taglio galleristico che offre un piacevole e costruttivo modo di vivere l’arte attraverso il contatto diretto tra artisti e fruitori. Il vernissage, dal titolo "Le pietre di Orfeo", propone una sequenza di quadri realizzati con tecnica olio su tela che rappresentano figure mitologiche tra cui Ipnos, Geo, Ila, Orfeo ed Euridice, la Sirena e il Dioscuro. I soggetti vengono inseriti dall’artista in un contesto architettonico dove si rilevano segni, simboli e significati che appaiono come vivificati e nello stesso tempo rielaborati nel passaggio alla forma. Pippo Rizzo traduce in una dimensione onirica i suoi personaggi sviluppando con linguaggio autonomo visioni la cui carica suggestiva è immediata ed evidente. L'equilibrio é uno dei motivi ispiratori che si pone tra la mitologia e i valori della vita mentre la costrizione della figura nella tela si integra con la libertà spaziale che la stessa immagine assume nonostante spesso mutilata o innestata in appendici dall’apparenza marmorea. Il risultato è frutto della ricerca avviata sui valori plastici, sul preziosismo cromatico e sulla qualità della materia pittorica che fondamentalmente fanno emergere – pur nella modernità - il "desiderio classico" insito nell'arte dell’autore.
