Not only are we influenced by these bands, we suggest you actually go listen to them and buy their stuff. We may not sound like all of these bands, but they had an impact on the band in some way... Immediate "props" goes to: The Misfits, GWAR (and anything that comes out of Slave Pit), Motorhead, Alice Cooper, Wednesday 13 (and anything he does or has done), KISS, The Ramones, Sweet, any old NWOBHM band, and the obvious, horror movies, sci-fi, and violent comic books.

We LIKE to say it's original... and from what people say to us it is kinda hard to pigeon-hole. All we can say is, listen to the songs and if you like them then we will see you at a show sometime, if you don't, then that's just fine as well.
Ok, this thing started as an idea for a theatrical band named Chaos in the year 2000, a few rehearsals and a few tapes where recorded and nothing really came out of it, then a few years later the name changed Helltown in 2003 or so. It was still mainly just an idea, but we jammed on and off trying to go in the right direction and continued to record some rehearsals. Eventually the name changed again to Black Sunday (this was short lived), but still, not much was actually happening gig-wise, we just recorded a bunch of tapes and tried to find out where we actually wanted to take this idea, the band name went back to Helltown eventually. Then one night, Zachy Gorehound, Tony Terror, and Count Vermin got together and came up with 2 or 3 songs under the name The Fulci Flix, "Don't Hyde too Hard", and "Marcus the Carcass" was made during those jam sessions. The band changed it's name to Scarecrows Curse in 2005 and played it's first show in 2007. Many line-up changes have occured, and much polishing has happened since the idea of the band started. It's hard to say exactly what kind of music we play, a lot of people say it's punk, then a lot of people say it's doom metal, and then you have people that say it's death rock. Hard to really pigeon-hole, and that's a great thing.
