Scared Rabbit Records is the Recording Industry program's student-run record label. It is designed to achieve several worthwhile goals. The label provides students with the opportunity for the practical application of the information and skills acquired in the classroom. They are empowered to find artists and produce a recording project. The project is then guided through all of the traditional functions of a record label. The students are responsible for the manufacture, distribution, marketing, management, and promotions of the projects at the label. The students are also involved with the production of the recordings. This process allows them to experience all of the roles within the community because they can receive the development and attention that would otherwise be unavailable to them. Finally, it allows our students to interact with the industry they intend to enter. This will increase their knowledge, expand their network and enhance the opportunity for the future!
Hey friends, just wanted to let you know about a very special show this Friday, May 8th. Mike Anderson & The Deputies with Zach Williams & The Reformation, and KD & The 73's.
KD & The 73's is going to be a surprise performance, so you'll just have to show up to find out who's in this never before seen group. See you there.
We've got a big week coming up next week. We're having our CD release party in Murfreesboro at 527 Main St. on Thursday night. We've worked our butts off on this thing and we're incredibly happy with it. Come on out to the show and we'll give you a CD. Our buddies Moon Taxi will be opening up starting at around 9:30, so get there early. They've got a brand new CD that will be available too.
We also just got our new T-shirts and stickers in stock and they look great. We hope to see you out on the 26th. Also check out our page for more upcoming shows.
Peace
