Scarificare was formed in late 2006 by Crusher (Bass/Vocals) and Quetzalcoatl (Guitars), ex-members of Serpent Lore and Wrath, and Sothis (Drums).
The main purpose of the band is to make extreme metal music inspired in the dark part of the human mind and form the strength that we afford from it. In early 2007 and based in that ambition Inverno was invited to make part of Scarificare to play Bass leaving Crusher totally dedicated to the Lyrics and Vocals.
After some gigs in Porto (local town) and Covilhã highly acclaimed by the audience, Scarificare enter in studio to record their first demo-tape "Sulphurous Wrath" by the Portuguese label Skull Productions in the cold winter of 2007.
In early 2008 Sothis leaves the band giving place to Bellerophon (Drums) wich already has left the band.
NJIORD now makes part of SCARIFICARE on drums .
SCARIFICARE will soon participate in the most knowned Portuguese black metal compilation "Lusitania Dark Horde II" with one exclusive music. SCARIFICARE is also in a recording process for the first album.
