About me:
I'm 30 years old and it seems life is flying by so fast now. There are still so many things I’d love to see, do, and experience – and that’s exactly what I intend to do. I love living life to the fullest – which is something I’m guilty of not always doing. I get too wrapped up in things I can’t control in my life, and I just have to learn to let go; there are more important things to focus on. I just want this one life I have to be filled with lots of happy moments and memories!I live in Birmingham, AL with my boyfriend, Shish (obviously not his real name). We’ve been dating since December 2003 and have 5 cats - Marble, Targét, Jasmine, Oxford, and Bailey. We started pumpthatpedal.com in August 2004 as a small hobby, and it grew well beyond our expectations – so much so that I pursued it as my full-time job in July 2006. It pays well, taking care of all the bills to the point we don’t have to watch what we spend too closely. In 2006, I launched desiresbyscarlet.com which covers a wide variety of fetishes (including shoes, boots, feet, smoking, eating, crushing, and more). Lately, it seems my interest in fetish work has declined somewhat. It’s probably because of some of the people I’ve had to deal with, the fact that I’ve gained some weight and don’t want to be on camera as much, and the fact that it interferes/intrudes a great deal into mine and Shish’s relationship. Rest assured though, PTP & DBS aren’t going anywhere!
I just completed my 2nd culinary degree in September 2009, an Associate's in Culinary Arts. I also received my Associate's degree for Pastry, Baking, and Confectionery Arts in December 2008. I plan on attending a local university in January 2010 to get my Master's in business, though I'm not sure what specific area I'll focus on yet. My goal is to open my own bakery café and offer catering services and specialty cakes.
When I’m not doing something for PTP, DBS, work, or school, I enjoy doing several things; one of them is reading. Right now I am hooked on Sue Grafton's alphabet series. I've read a few of them out of sequence, but just recently I started from the top and have read A, B, and C. I'm about to start "D" is for Deadbeat. I also enjoy looking through cookbooks and cooking magazines, and I like books by some of my other favorite authors: James Patterson, Janet Evanovich, John Saul, Johnathan Kellerman, John Sanford, and Dean Koontz - just to name a few. Just recently, I’ve gotten back into the whole online scrapbooking thing and enjoy the opportunity to be creative in the pages I make. Scrapbooking is very fitting for me because I’m a very sentimental person. I also enjoy visiting friends and family or having them over for drinks, dinner, and idle banter.
