.. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. Turning their backs on passing musical trends, Scarlet Brows sound can best be described as a whirlwind combination of modern rock. The amalgamation of the energy and drive of punk rock, the diversity & feel good sounds of britrock & indie and the addition of melodic influences of alternative & emotive artists have given Scarlet Brow a sound that is both distinctive yet familiar to the listener. .. .. Founding members Adrian Skewes and Chad Staunton commenced writing songs in autumn of 2005 drawing on their personal life situations for inspiration. Early June saw the addition of Josh Day (Bass/Vocals) and enabled Scarlet Brow to break into the live circuit. The band were provided with many opportunities to display their live show and musicianship and as a result lead to a 1st placing at the South Australian World Vision Battle of the Bands... .. 2006 saw Scarlet Brow shift up a gear with a successful studio recording at Beat Records International. Their demo 'Another Day Goes By' sold out of its first pressing within several months and the single 'Is it Right?' ranked in the top 25 on the Triple J unearthed charts for over 3 months .. .. Scarlet Brow have supported many Local and Nationally acclaimed acts including: Antiskeptic, The Sundance Kids, The Scissor File, San Salvador and Hometime .. .. ..Unfortunately at the end of 2007, due to other commitments and artistic differences the members of the band mutually decided to part ways.
