About me:
Send me an IM!Scarlet Mist was set up in 2003 to help a friend get a Glastonbury ticket. Chris, you've got a lot to answer for. Now the site has been expanded to cover all the major festivals and gigs in the UK. Scarlet Mist is a free face-value ticket exchange. It allows you to exchange tickets with somebody else at face value. Although the service is free, users are asked to make a donation to charity.

Does anyone on here know of any sites doing the same as Scarlet Mist but for the US market?

I'm planning on going to LA to see The Who in November but was just looking for a back-up plan to get a ticket incase I miss out when they go on general sale on Monday but don't want to be paying 2 to 3 times face value on e-bay if I can help it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for adding me. Love the idea of the site. Touts are just the scum of the earth with their ticket monopoly and overcharging. Im so glad someone has done something about trying to beat them. This site could be big!!

Still waiting on those somerset house fratellis tickets though. I really dont wanna wish any illness on anyone, but if anyone fancys contracting the flu before the gig and cant go... ;)

keep up the great work!

Thanks for accepting the add request. Got a ticket for Reading last year through SM and think it's a brilliant service that people should use much more to offload unwanted tix in an ethical manner. Keep up the good work!

Hope everyone had a good time at Glastonbury! Beware of the new UK ticket exchange/search sites, which claim to be good as gold, when in fact they are making huge profits from the second hand ticket market. Even if they redirect you to a proper ticket agent from their site and you only pay face value, you are still supporting an operation that makes most of its money from touts. I have written a longer piece about this issue in my MySpace blog if you're interested. Keep supporting the Mist!
