I feel I've lived 50 lifetimes in one and I'm only 32 yet! Born and bred in NYC I grew up in the city when it was a grafitti covered place where people could still smoke just about anywhere. By the tender age of 6 my father, a bandleader in the NYC Turkish Nightclub scene taught me what it was to go to sleep at 6am and have breakfast by 3pm. I went to the "Fame" school and then studied art in college. I earned a degree in advertising art direction and decided after a year that I should run for my life as fast as I could. Ever since I've been a gypsy. I've romped about the Renaissance Faire and Pagan Festival circuit selling faerie wings and dancing 'round bonfires until the sun came up. Until the next great chapter in my life came along - BURLESQUE. A world where I felt all of my passions could meet - dance, music, costume, the stage. And I've met some of the most interesting, unique, talented people in the world along the way. I've gotten to dance on most of NYC's burlesque stages (and beyond!). And while that could be enough fun and glory to last a girl a lifetime I'm onto my next evolution. As of now, it is taking the sexy shape of a hollow wooden body with a fretted neck and 6 strings. We'll see where this takes me. I'll keep ya updated on my adventures here...
