Movies
I like a lot of different types of films -- from foreign to art films to action and horror and B-movie cult films. Love old Hammer films and like anything with a dark sense of humor. Favorite films also include "Delicatessen", "Bartleby", "Dead Alive", "Lord of the Rings", "Cemetary Man" aka "Dela Morte Dela More", "Office Space", "Wicker Man" (the original) etc... New favorite movie is "Pan's Labyrinth." I absolutely DETEST Hollywood remakes of older films or foreign films.
Television
I don't watch TV, but I do watch tapes of old Dr. Who shows, and like to rent the series for "Deadwood" and "Carnivale". Also a fan of the "Family Guy" and "Battlestar Galactica".
Books
I read everything and usually average 2-3 books in a month. Favorite genres include historical fiction, biographies, sci-fi, and non-fiction books about historical events. (Some) favorite authors include Pearl Buck, Neal Stephenson, J.R.R. Tolkein, Algernon Blackwood, Ambrose Beirce, Poe, Lovecraft, Orhan Pamuk etc etc etc. I am also partial to graphic novels. New favorite book: The Raw Shark Texts by Steven Hall. Currently reading: Moby Dick.
