Who are ya?

We’re a London based electro-rock band fronted by female singer Scarlletta.

What are you up to at the moment?

So much! We’re writing, rehearsing and recording new material at the moment and working on a second EP to follow up our debut EP Sinful. We also just finished filming for Louie Spence’s Showbusiness. What’s your most exciting achievement so far?

We’re representing the UK in the Global Battle of the Bands this year. Pretty exciting stuff! We perform on the 26th of Feb in front of 4000 people at the World finals in Kuala Lumpur. We are so excited to travel to Malaysia and to finally get something back for all our hard work. We also got to the Semi Finals of Must Be the Music last year and got to meet the likes of Jamie Cullam, Dizzee Rascal and Fearne Cotton and had the chance to play at the amazing Hackney Empire. Who writes your music?

Scarlletta writes the lyrics and melody. She has also cowritten with several producers along with Benny D and Andy Hayman. The band, however, are now writing and recording new and exciting material independently and collaborating with world renowned talents on their debut album.Scarlletta writes the lyrics and melody. Whats your favourite Scarlletta track?

Tough question! We’re always changing our minds on which song we like best…My two favourite tracks at the moment are the two we are performing at the World Finals in Malaysia. We have a new song we’re performing called Not a Man You’re a Mess along with an old favourite Be My Bitch. Both songs are so different in style so they show our band’s diversity but they are also both very catchy, upbeat high energy numbers. They are very in your face lyrically and should shake the audience up a bit!Tough question! Be My Bitch – interesting title. What’s the track about?

(Scarlletta:) I co-wrote this track with an amazing songwriter and it was great fun to write at the time. Our aim was to show how naughty I am and how dirty my mind is! The lyrics are very tongue in cheek about not wanting the heartache that sometimes goes along with love and instead just having fun with lots of different men. I think people get shocked by the fact that women sometimes don’t want monogamy; we sometimes don’t want to commit to a relationship. There are times when monogamy simply doesn’t work for either sex. That’s nothing to be scared about! ‘Frisky, unapologetic, pure breed pop.
