Cartridge is a 25-year-old synthesizer player and music producer from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He started producing 'drum and bass' music after reading an interview with Goldie in Keyboard Magazine and being so enchanted with the idea of it that he produced it without even hearing it. That is the power of 'drum and bass' music.
For the first Nerve release of 2009, we're very proud to present the debut EP from Copenhagen's Jean Doe.
It's drum n bass tinged with detroit techno and deep house, from the glitchy beats of the title track to deep rolling vibes on "Nuance" and "Fibre" before fellow Copenhagen based producer Pyro joins him for the epic and uplifting "Ambitions in A Minor".
Thanks for the reply. I really like the drum sound on that newer bit, really textured. Been getting into hardware with an emu i just bought but could do with some outboard dynamics and fx,seems to really make all the difference. Software seems too flat in my experience but then again its probably how you use it. Cant wait to hear more.
