SCARY CHERRY AND THE BANG BANGS formed from friends making friends, in the fall of '06.
We started rehearsing songs and song ideas in Dec. of '06, and have been immersed in practice and learning songs since then, working hard and rehearsing often.
LD and Mario have been writing songs together for years, and have over 60 songs, song sketches, and scraps of lyrics. Some of these songs date back to the years that LD sang for FEM2FEM, and original recordings of reference demos of these songs featured the talents of well-known musicians Josh Freese, Danny Lohner, and Robin Finck, who LD met and hung with while touring Europe with FEM2FEM as the opening act for Nine Inch Nails..
We look forward to playing a LOT of shows this summer and beyond, and are laying out plans to record an EP soon!
If you like our music,we hope youll keep checking back, as we plan to post more and more demos, pics, and gigs!

Are you guys (and gal) waiting til I have the baby to plan your next gig or what? :) If you're not gonna play then you should at least come out to Curtain Club on August 2nd to watch the Mother Truckin Skull Diggers...along with the Mad Mexicans, etc. But you know MTSD is the most important. :) Love you guys!
The competition will take place on July 12th at NYTEX Sports Centre (8851 Ice House Drive, North Richland Hills, TX 76180) and doors open at 7:00pm with skating starting at 7:30pm. The Devils expect a full capacity crowd. This bout will sell-out, get your tickets to this PG-13 event in advance for only $13 on our website (www. derbydevils. com) until 12:00pm on the day of the bout, or for $12 at Woodward Skatepark at Grapevine Mills Mall, and through your favorite DDD skater. To start off the night, The Slaughterers will take on their long awaited rivals, The Suicide Shifters. The last time these teams skater together, the hard hitters of the Slaughterers defeated the Shifters in an all out blood bath! While the Shifters gained some awesome new talent during the off season, the Slaughterers have a strong roster of seasoned skaters. The second game of the evening pits the strategic styling’s of the High Seas Hotties against The Death Row Rumblers. Since the Rumblers 132 point loss to the Slaughterers last month, hopefully they’ll bring a better game this time around.
A portion of proceeds from this bout will benefit The ARC of Dallas. The Arc of Dallas is a 501C3 membership nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life for people with intellectual and related developmental disabilities. It was formed in 1951 by a group of parents who joined forces to fight for their children’s rights to be educated in the public school system.
