Welcome! We are finally up and running! Scary River is an electronic dance project started by James Wolff and based in Baltimore, MD. Mr. Wolff graduated Peabody Conservatory with a degree in composition after studying under Grammy winning composer Nicholas Maw. The band is preparing to release three albums this year, digitally with limited edition pressing. The Mystics vs Physics LP grew out of the electronic tracks recorded by Wolff and mastered at Invisible Sound Studios, this is the set that has been toured to SXSW 09 and across the country. The Get Control LP features James, Matty, Matt, and Aaron and has been recorded by Rob Girardi (Lords of Baltimore Studios, Celebration, Beach House) and is being mixed by Dave Underhill at CCBC in Maryland. Get Control will be pressed on Vinyl and also Digipack. Finally, Spirit Drivers is a collection of original film soundtracks for local film maker Brady Starr and The Lift. This final album will be released on December 21st to coincide with the movies red carpet premier at the Charles Theater in Baltimore. While the ensemble is always rotating, and many of our good friends come and go, we have a strong core of solid songs and material and we are currently searching for a record label support in advance of the next SXSW spring tour in March 2010. Hiya! Im from maryland too, not so much Baltimore but i lived like 30 min. away ( without Traffic Of course ) I got a chance to listen to your music, it's pretty good. :) Keep up the goood work :)
