Influences
Everything I ever listen to ever. Lately it's been a lot of Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, The Gaslight Anthem, The Hold Steady, Streetlight Manifesto, Phil Ochs and Regina Spektor.
Sounds Like
None of those influences, I think. Although, I'm inspired by Streetlight Manifesto to try to cram about a million syllables into one line of a song sometimes.
I'm a girl who sometimes plays guitar. Sometimes that guitar is a right-handed guitar flipped upside down to accommodate my left-handedness, which severely limits what I can actually play, but that's beside the point. These are really rough recordings but I want people to be able to hear them, because really, why not?
"Great Expectations" is by the Gaslight Anthem, and if you have ears you should be listening to them frequently. Although, if you had ears you'd notice how often my voice is off-key. Hmm. "Wagon Wheel" is sort of by Bob Dylan and sort of by Old Crow Medicine Show, but I'd be lying to you if I said the first version I heard wasn't Against Me!
Another (original) song will be up tonight or tomorrow. whenever I feel like it because I am a liar.
