Schatzie's Interests
General
Theatre, cooking, & my pets.
Music
I have to admit I've been listening to the classic country station lately. It's kinda cool. I mean where else can you hear Mel McDaniel and Johnny Horton in the same quarter hour?
Movies
Recently: Capote, Shattered Glass, and Alpha Dog. Yeah, I'm slow.
Television
Watched Six Feet Under this winter and it broke my heart. I was an empty shell of the person I once was. Then I found Dexter and got my life back. When does Season 2 come out on DVD? Please help. And where the hell did Big Love go? It's been over a year. What, they all took a cruise?
Books
The Stand, The Lovely Bones, The Dogs of Babel, The Red Tent, Bloodwork, The Catcher in the Rye. A Painted House by John Grisham is probably my favorite. I read plays more than I do books.

About me: Got back two weeks ago from the Last Frontier Theatre Conference. Saw many good play readings and I loved all of the evening performances. My favorite was UAF's production of "Split" by Ira Gamerman. Got some great advice from Miss Jayne Wenger on how to craft the all-female play I'm writing. "Sway Me, Moon" was very well received and Arlitia got some interest in a possible outside production of it. Yeah! I also decided on Three Wise Moose's next project in October, which will be Lisa Kron's "Well" at Out North. I will play Lisa, and Bernie Blaine will be Ann, Lisa's mom. We'll have auditions for the four multi-character roles in August--stay tuned for an actual date and time. Also, the next Overnighters will be in August. I'm not 100% sure but I believe it will August 16th & 17th. Check back here in a couple of weeks and I should have all that good info. I wrote several pages on my new play yesterday. Hoping to keep that energy up through July!

Who I'd like to meet: Theatre producers the world over who are interested in my plays. Plus Julia Roberts so I can explain why I have a giant painting of her in my living room.
I can totally relate to having your favorite show going "MIA" I fell in love with the series ROME and they only had 2 seasons then called it quits! I'm still licking my wounds over that one :)
Love the new page! Reminds me of why I love dogs more than cats! I laughed so hard when I saw that lil cartoon...made my hubby watch it...OMG...I'm still laughing my ass off...so dang true!
Schatzie, you should know that right now I'm in costume for my play. My play that you haven't seen yet. And since you're online right now, I'm assuming you're not in the audience right now. Because if you are, and you're online, well, that's just rude. So come see the show tomorrow. And don't be rude and Myspace surf while you're here.
I remember you letting me, and Shell (my sis) read one of your books at the Lodge... What ever came of that?? I keep waiting to see you IN STORES!! Luv ya girl.
