   About Schedule 2
Sascha Restor came to Boston from Germany to study Music Production and Engineering at Berklee College of Music. It was there on the sixth floor of Berklee’s Massachusetts Avenue dorm that Sascha met Soren Sorensen, a fellow lager enthusiast and pop music fan. After Soren became bored with his next door neighbors drug-addled free jazz jam sessions, he and Sascha eventually began writing songs together. After only half convincing Soren that Oasis was a good band, Sascha moved to England in search of a Brit-pop act to join. Having found nothing but wankers and tossers in the UK, Sascha realized that he missed collaborating with Sorensen, despite his non-Britishness, and returned to the fertile crescent of Boston, where he found his friend waiting patiently for him at City Video on Newbury Street. Soren had already played Sascha’s songs for Rob Gold, a childhood friend and chemical engineering student who just happened to play drums. Adam LaCasse, a fellow Berklee student, had been playing guitar and drums since early childhood, making him the obvious choice for bass, and Schedule 2 was born.

With combined influences ranging from Elliott Smith and Sugar to Supergrass and Travis, their infectious songs have a level of musicianship which reflects the individual skills of each member. Sascha wrote S.M.U.D.O. as a tribute to Die Fantastischen Vier, Germany’s premiere Hip Hop act. Here We Go is Sorensen’s absurdly catchy power ballad about the time men and women waste discussing casual sex. Top just hammers home Sascha’s positive mental attitude via the overuse of two of the most effective words in all of pop music: "Baby, Baby".

[Hi, this is Soren Sorensen, lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for Schedule 2. I want to be completely honest and up front here. If you’re still reading this, you either know me or you’re seriously considering purchasing this CD. I’m not going to try to write any more sentences about myself in the third person to try and urge you to take a listen to it. The band has been broken up for far longer than we were together at this point, but the songs are really worth listening to! Now, here’s Sascha talking about the old bio you just read and letting you in on all of the excitement we’ve been up to since we broke up! The part about Rob is especially ridiculous.]

The lines above were taken from the original Schedule 2 bio [excluding the section immediately preceding this one] included in the press kit which was sent out a gazillion times all over the states and the rest of the world to no avail.

Schedule 2 effectively ceased to exist once it became clear that Sascha’s visa was about to run out. Having been the most active member within the band it was clear that there was no future without him. Schedule 2 played its last gig at the end of the summer of 2001 at Boston University, playing in front of practicing football players. It was a bizarre yet fitting end for a short and eventful career that included as many highs as lows.

Sascha returned to Germany where he continued to actively pursue a musical career. After a brief stint as in-house engineer and producer for a local production house, which did nearly nothing to further his career but made for a few classic stories, his most serious and commercial project was writing and producing for a German Hip Hop album featuring the then (and still) unknown rapper, Kerem. Keeping in line with Restor’s previous efforts, this project, although high in quality and commercial appeal, gained no outside interest whatsoever. While still busy writing and recording Sascha has finally surrendered to fate and is now pursuing a career in alternative medicine with an emphasis on traditional Chinese medicine.

Soren left Boston soon after Sascha’s departure in desperate need for a change and relocated to New York City, following in the footsteps of good friends like Brian Mechlowicz and "70s" Dan Nachimson. With Brian he soon expanded their friendship to form a duo: Sorensen & Mechlowicz. This duo gave them a platform to perform their own songs which were very different in style from Schedule 2. While the Deuce was a more upbeat and high-energy driven rock group (especially live), Sorensen & Mechlowicz is softer and mellower, giving Soren the ability to express a deeper and more emotional side of his songwriting and vocal skills. They record and perform sporadically in the New York area and already have a three song CD to their name, a double A-side: She’s So Good To Me/Diving Board.

Adam has had the most remarkable career out of any of the four. Never one to actually finish an education, he drifted aimlessly through various jobs and temp agencies until he managed to land a sweet deal with a law firm. And to top things off he married the love of his life, Allison Doherty, whom he actually met because of Schedule 2 since Soren and Sascha knew her from the earliest Berklee days and kept inviting her to the shows. In retrospect, aside from the music and memories, this could be most positive thing to come out of the band. Having a proper career and wife, music had not been on the top of Adam’s agenda since the band broke up. It is now playing an increasing role, however, as his rock and roll basement proved during two brief Schedule 2 reunions. He has also recently joined the Boston-based rock group, Medina Sod.

Rob vanished from view once the band broke up and Soren and Sascha left town. Not only being the smartest and most educated member of the band (double major in chemistry and physics) but also being the most proficient at his instrument out of all four, he is also the most troubled soul. Trying to balance his personal demons and life in general has unfortunately led to Rob living a very withdrawn and private life, having little or no contact with the people around him. While he apparently manages to continue to work and fulfill his daily obligations, little else is known. Rob, if you should read this, we love you from the bottom of our hearts, and all this would not have been possible without you. The dream is over and reality is harsh but what was created during these days, the memories at Sunset Street, have all become a part of us and will live on. Different challenges await now and we wish you all the best.

BUY THE CD! YOU WON’T REGRET IT!!
