Schizoid Club use mainly Fender and Airline Guitars, Beaten up 70's Analogue synths, Novation Supernova II, Line 6 Pedals, Technic 1210 Decks, some basic knowledge of Wing Chun and Nescafe Instant Coffee.
Matney first appeared on the London music scene as one half of the acclaimed trance outfit Transfer Injection Burn. They were quickly signed to Aquarius records, where they enjoyed much success with their hard anthems tinged with funky breaks. With the collapse of the label 2 years later, the band dissolved and Schizoid Club was born out of the embers. Matt now seized the chance to indulge his love for hip hop, electro, breaks, old film scores, old school funk and jazz.
The year 2000 saw the band's first single released on white label entitled "Adrenalin flowing" which sold out and repeat appearances at Glastonbury and Guildfest festivals followed. In 2001 the band released their debut album "Caravan Park Holiday" Independently to much critical acclaim.
Radio 1 airplay from the likes of Steve Lamacq and compilation inclusion soon followed, as well as licensing deals from the likes of Salomon Snowboards, BMW Mini, Budweiser and the British Tabloids to name a few. In 2002 the track "Driving with Cochese" was included in the soundtrack for the Film Four movie "Dog Eat Dog" In Europe It was one of the Most Downloaded MP3's of the Year and would have easily charted had MP3's counted at the time. After more festival appearances and remixes for other artists Matney took a sabbatical.
In 2007 Schizoid Club returned to the studio for their second album. A more dynamic and diverse sound was wanted, so new recruits were drafted in for the recording. Sophia Lolley provides the lyrics and vocals on the album. She is best known for her work with the likes of James Taylor Quartet, Bentley Rhythm Ace and Fuzz Townsend from P.W.E.I. She has enjoyed solo success with her single which was been played regularly on Radio 1 and championed by Radio 1's Blue Room Djs.
Jazz T provides the deck work on the new album. As former ITF U.K scratch champ he needs little introduction and managed to squeeze the recording sessions into his hectic schedule.

One thing is for sure, turn it up and you'll sure get down.
