Reminisce- An ode to a intimate relationship that I had with an ex.. Beat done by RJD2. This track is deep..just my emotions on that one.
Ghetto Story-The Chad Wildman Remix...Oh! This remix goes hard in the yard son! I like Chad's version better because there is not an Alicia keys verse (making the track all soft..lol) and the break down in the middle.."Raghhhar! Raghhhar!" that shit gets the club poppin for sure. If you dub/dnb dj to you need to grab it!
Intanational Style-This is a Dope Ammo/Benny Page remix track that I ripped on the DNB tip. No ragga-vocals just some h-town MC spittin...
Chicago/NW Indiana based sous-chef, DJ Decay, cooks up his own special recipe of drum n’ bass a-la-mode for the MIA menu with his new mix, entitled “Perished Angel”. Go ahead. Take a taste. It truly is the perfect blend of flavors, combining a bit of the familiar with some new and exciting ingredients.
The track selection on “Perished Angel” is dedicated to harder forms of drum n’ bass, packaged with eerie atmospherics and pounding drums. Make no mistake; Decay doesn’t go heavy with any one flavor when he’s in the kitchen. The track selection on this one varies, all while maintaining his trademark dark vibe. Decay can jump from sub-genre to sub-genre with the best of them. From hardstep to breakcore to techstep, no matter how you slice it, the results are delicious. Decay even manages to sneak in a few gems from 1997, making them sound as current as they did upon their releases. The mixing on “Perished Angel” is incredibly solid; combining silky smooth blends with some nicely timed cross fader work. Decay always comes correct in this department.
The end result is a no-frills mix of pure drum ‘n bass goodness. Dig in and enjoy it!
Stop by Decay’s portion of the MIA website and be on the look out for future appearances. He can cook it up this good live too!
