Schizopathic has been together since early 2005 and hail from Rochester, Minnesota. Each member had been in other local and regional bands before bringing his own diverse flavor and creativity together to form the band. The result is an exploration of various influences and attitudes that give Schizopathic their unique sound.
They have released two independent, full-length albums. The first was Grain of Sanity, which featured what became their anthem song, “Schizoholic”. They quickly became the most well-known original band in the Rochester area. Their popularity drew them to participate in fund-raising activities for a variety of charity events, which yielded over $20,000 for friends, military families, and animals.
While promoting Grain of Sanity, they played throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin, including being finalists in a regional ‘battle of the bands’ competition and hosting a National Top Ten modeling contest.
They were featured in the soundtrack for 4xMayhem 2, an off-road-mud-spewing-tranny-breaking video montage for 4x4 enthusiasts. The band was also tapped for an in-depth interview and write-up for the monthly publication of The Diatribe.
Their second album, Galvanize, was released on July 4, 2009. It showcases a more refined sound that reflects how the individual members have gelled as a band, while preserving their unique sound.
They strive to have fun bringing music to the people, and the result has been a tremendously strong fan base. They have built a reputation of being a high-energy, charismatic band that appeals to both hard rock and heavy metal fans alike.
