Schizophonie s'est formé à la fin de l'année 2002 au sein du département de musique du collège d'Alma. Dès les premiers "jams", le trio d'origine s'est découvert une compatibilité musicale qui méritait d'être poussée un peu plus à l'extrême. Il fallut attendre quelques mois pour voir poindre dans l'horizon auditif les premiers efforts de guerre du groupe alors qu'ils enregistraient leur premier démo et s'exhibaient en public pour la première fois. Au fil des années, le groupe accumule enregistrements, compositions et prestations tout en préparant leur premier album plus ou moins officiel. C'est après 6 ans que le batteur, Joël Fortin, quitte la formation pour de nouveaux projets musicaux.
Heureusement, Gabriel et David trouvent en Maxime Simard un nouveau comparse pour poursuivre le projet. Schizophonie sera donc de retour à la fin de 2008, renouvelé, revu et corrigé avec un tout nouveau spectacle et un tout nouveau batteur!
Schizophonie was formed at the end of 2002 within the the music department of the Alma college. From the first jams, the original trio discovered a musical compatibility that deserved to be pushed a little more to the extreme. It was not until a few months that the band recorded their first demo and were showing off for the first time. Over the years, they accumulate recordings, compositions and shows while preparing their first more or less formal album. It was after 6 years that drummer, Joel Fortin, decided to quit for new musical projects.
Fortunately, Gabriel and David found in Maxime Simard a collaborator to keep the project goign on. So, Schizophonie will be back at the end of 2008, renewed, revised and corrected with a brand new show and a new drummer!
