For starters Will Vinton.
Bruce Bickford is also a big influence but really we are more influenced by the world around us. For whatever reason it seems that we both were drawn to crazy scenes. Most of the people we know are totally normal but I think that we are just able to see the strangeness in people and that we are gifted at finding that type of people that have gone over the edge or are not on the same level of existence as the rest of the world.
We recognize the social awkwardness that occur between folks at times, the way that people move or speak just seems to inspire us to commit it to memory. Once it's in there it tends to come out in the clay or in the storylines that we push the clay through.
David English and Don Orkoskey are Schmutz Co. - America's finest stop motion animation company.
There are better animators and stop motion companies out there with more talent and awards under their belts but we are still America's finest. We are fine, really we are.
We will soon have a larger web presence to display all of our wonderful stuff. For now please view our videos and tell us what you think.
Thank you for your time and your money, oh yeah, can we have some money?
This is a peek into our past. A lot of people have requested our first ever test reel and here it is.
This is the first stop motion that we ever did - ever. We were testing the look, the time, and camera movement - we've since learned we look great, have great timing, but we move too fast. Forget zooms, we'll stick to straight cuts from here on out.
This stuff is so old that we didn't even have a name yet. Crazy.
Our entry into the Heinz Top this TV Challenge.
Who I'd like to meet: We want to meet people who like what we do or who do what we do.
We'd also like to talk to people that have planed film festivals in the past or people who are interested in planning a animation festival in the Pittsburgh area.

No, of course not. I've had very little fish biting at my hook. I only have temp agencies and army recruiters calling for me. I had one job interview at a bland, downtown engineering firm that I never heard back from. On Friday, I met with a woman from the ABC Temp to hire company. Hopefully, that works out for me. I have to take a bunch of testing and crap, which sucks. If nothing starts to work out I'm back in the waitress game. I didn't realize that Receptionist/Admin. jobs were so highly competitive and hard to find in P-Burgh. People seem shocked that I'm asking for $12 and up. Most want to pay $8-$10 an hour. I don't think $12 is asking for much in our high priced society. The price of living has gone up and I don't want to get paid the same amount of money that I received in 1999. Times have changed! How are you doing? We need to hang out soon. I'm going to be over my families house today, but I'm available on Sunday if that peaks your interest.
