is getting ready to shut down this MySpace page. I never spend any time here anymore. My friends & family know how to reach me on Facebook and through emails. Mood: happy Posted at 7:36 PM Nov 20view more
Animals, reading, gambling, mountains, lakes, games, plants, flower gardens, schnauzers, of course, and my family & friends.
Music
All kinds from contemporary, easy listening, Broadway shows, some country, all of the oldies from the 60's, Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Neil Diamond, Luther Vandross, Josh Groban, Eva Cassidy, I can go on & on & on.
Movies
I've seen quite a few movies that I liked, as in Slumdog Millionaire & Gran Torino. Marley & Me, Mamma Mia, Paint your Wagon, Funny Girl, West Side Story, Sling Blade, Shawshank Redemption, Dirty Dancing. Some of those are very old (kinda like me)
Television
Grey's Anatomy, American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, Brothers & Sisters and of course, The Bachelor/The Bachelorette, Private Practice, It's me or the dog, The Dog Whisperer and Animal Cops
Books
Authors: Ridley Pearson, Iris Johansen, Janet Evanovich, James Patterson, Lee Child, Sue Grafton, James Lee Burke, Lisa Scottoline, Robert B. Parker, Stuart Woods, Margaret Maron. There are so many more, I can't name them all. I love legal thrillers, murder mysteries and mysteries with a little romance thrown in, but I detest the Harlequin romance novels!
Heroes
Micky Mouse and Superman, Howdy Doody and Mighty Mouse. Don't forget Rocky & Bullwinkle.
We have been in the Austin area for almost three years now. We have seen a flood and now we are experiencing one of the worst droughts in recent history. Lake Travis is at it's 3rd all-time lowest level. The weather dudes promise that El Nino is coming back this fall. We can only hope. We need rain desperately!
My favorite places include Whistler, BC, Lake Tahoe, The Bahamas and Caribbean area, Las Vegas, Arizona and of course, The Great State of Texas!!
I spend a ridiculous amount of time on the computer, but hey, I'm retired! I guess I can, doesn't hurt a soul, just my carpal tunnel syndrome. We have 7 schnauzers with one being half Bichon. I volunteer at a low cost spay & neuter clinic, Animal Trustees of Austin, and dearly love it. They are a great organization with a wonderful group of people, both volunteers & staff.
I used to be the "cowgirl," barrel racer, had race horses, raised baby cows, goats, dogs & various animals. I've been out of the horse business for about 15 years now. I love to read, listen to music, watch my schnauzer kids play, see movies, dining out & cooking in. We love to walk on all the trails around our house. It is a very hot, sticky summer and the blasted deer are demolishing my shrubs & flowers (the ones that the hail didn't).
I was at Lake Tahoe in May. Beautiful weather this trip. Hubby is going to Mexico for about 10 days this month. I will have the house to myself (except for the 7 dogs). I have a lot of projects in mind, I wonder if I will get them all done?
Cesar Milan, Johnny Depp, Patrick Swayze, Tom Sellek, Oprah Winfrey, George Strait, Pierce Brosnan and probably a dozen more. Clint Eastwood, Meryl Streep, to name a couple more. Wish I had the opportunity to meet John Wayne, Paul Newman & Lee Marvin. I've met my hero, Mickey Mouse!
Hey thanks! Its swooper being on this side of 30! I have already forgotten things...because I am 27, I must have looked at my DL wrong, I am not 30 afterall!
so it seems that you fall into Pumpkin bins with your feet in the air- what a sight, who does that?? lol- and as far as swimming and almost drowning goes, it is hard to explain, because when I run, I get as much air as I need...but with swimming, its different. I did super well- more consistant with time and less flailing about! How was dinner last night? Hope all is good-and David does make fun of my sunglasses, I call my new shades "FH" for the Female Hyde glasses from That 70s Show..I miss that show.
