Schnoize has risen out of the ashes of the solo career of its founder and long time sole member, Randy Sarafan. After realizing that he had traveled as far as one could as a solo artist, he gathered together all of his musician friends and formed a collective. Unfortunately for himself, he had no musician friends... let alone non-musician friends. Coming to the realization that he had no friends, he begrudgingly let his little brothers join his collective. What initially seemed like a stupid thing to do ended up working out in the long run because as it turned out, they were more musically competent and mentally deranged than himself. However, by letting his brothers join his collective he completely lost his sole fan base (that being his brothers). Over the years Schnoize has managed to collect many new people. By many new people I mean Ray (on two occasions) and Randy's girlfriend Danica. Adam tried to add the entirety of sixth grade once to challenge my assertion that anyone can become a member of Schnoize. I didn't let him. Only people that record on albums with already existing members of Schnoize can claim to part of Schnoize. Or something or other. It is not important how when or why people join this band. The important thing is that Schnoize has recorded over three albums in bedrooms, living rooms and basements and they hope soon to perform their first live show to an audience other than the band's own members. Their ultimate goal is to become the house band on the Dave Mathews Cruise ship. This will be done by force and dressed like penguins if necessary. In the short term Scnoize would like to get Danica an instrument other than the cowbell, find matching green headbands and ultimately write another song about podiatry.
We wanted to see whats up with you? We also wanted to let you know that we have some great news/sad news posted on our blog. Go check it out. We felt all of our friends should hear this!
Being adam, a member of the band I have to say that we need something new something that just makes people say what the f*ck are they thinking. Because I dont think that we have done that well enough
Or maby we have and i just dont know because ... .well I really dont read what people say about us
my favourite bio of the week guys...oh and a lovely white bungalow too....cutting to the chase I noticed you liked Daniel Johnston so I thought I'd point you in the direction of a UK alt. country/acoustic group called Quarter-Pounder. If you think Daniel has had it hard, listen to this. Quarter-Pounder have battled homelessness, insanity, amputations, divorces, crippling obesity, prison and countless odd, horrible day jobs and while this is reflected in their songs, they're still very easy on the ear. Maybe you know of them already? One of their fans has set up a web site where you can download a bunch of their songs for free at www.quarter-pounder.co.uk....and they're also on myspace...Check it out...
TWO NEW SONGS are now posted on our myspace and new recording of Cheetah (Part I). They sound phenomenal! Our new Cheetah EP will be out in May and include 6 songs (our old cd Until Tomorrow will be included free with purchase).
Dont' forget to come see us at The Chance in Poughkeepsie NY on May 5th with The Machine
Keep Rockin'
I still have to say, The Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black greatly puts us to shame. The "Alaska" song is everything our "Oregon" song should have been.
i have your CD "never claimed to be good" but it wont play anywhere.. i cant load it on the computer and when i put it in my CD player, the players like "what? theres no CD in me. what are you looking at?"
so yeah. what ought i to do?
other than that, youre AWESOME. i hope to be at your first show.
