Schoenrock is the project of Andreas Schoenrock, a 28 year old Berlin producer, music lover and DJ. After the contribution of „A little bit of time“ for „Pulverising Green!“ EP on Pulver Records, the multi instrumentalist (guitar, piano, bass) and academically trained mastering engineer started his own productions. Earlier this year he released a 12“ under the moniker Melasse (together with Pulver Records boogiemeister Felix Haaksman), which was critically acclaimed for it´s deep and soulful excursion into reggae. For his „Sacode A Poeira“ EP Schoenrock is showing his love affair with dubby disco, funk, hip hop and latin music. Schoenrock - his swing is tropical.

Review: With the „Sacode A Poeira“ EP, Berlin´s Schoenrock debuts with a heavy load of funk.
The EP kicks off with „Sacode A Poeira“, a tropical burner featuring the mighty Brazilian MC Edu K on vocals. Yes, it´s the man who brought tracks like „Popozuda Rock n´Roll“ and „Sex-O-Matic“ to the world. With his lyrical contribution for „Sacode A Poeira“ the booty expert shows that his vocal skills not only fit to Brazilian baile funk beats. The forward pushing rhymes of Edu K madly fire up „Sacode A Poeira“ („Shake The Dust Off“), added up by a bouncing Soca rhythm, live-sounding drumming and the thumb twisting bass work of Schoenrock himself the track is a full on dancefloor smasher. The instrumental version of „Sacode A Poeira“ on A2 shows the track´s strength without the MC´s vocals.
The flipside of the single starts with the boogieesque „Queen Of Sheeba“, which continues the tropical vibe established with „Sacode A Poeira“. With a funky clavinet, a groovy bass-playing and an irresistible live-jam-feeling, „Queen Of Sheeba“ pushes the Schoenrock sound to the discotheques and further on. Last but not least it´s „Jujube“, with another clavinet-live bass competition, accompanied by sexy strings and percussion licks.
