Sounds Like
Thoughtful downtempo trance and ambient psybient, without the generic thumping basslines. Crystalline melodies and frozen beats.
Schrödinger's Dog is the current incarnation of my music project -- previously known as Anechoic Frame, Care of Machine and Glamour Systems. Creating music digitally is something which I've dabbled in for many years, starting with the venerable Atari ST, but I would say I've only been seriously working on it since around mid-2002.
I have had little in the way of formal music training, and so virtually everything I've done has been self-taught, learned through experimentation as much if not more than from articles in magazines or on the web. Having become frustrated with trying to play a physical instrument, I use software almost exclusively; rarely, I use a MIDI keyboard or other hardware, but that's the exception rather than the rule. I'm also keen on using software and other tools that other people may dismiss as amateurish, reasoning that a good artist can produce quality work with even the simplest of implements. This view also extends to encompass things outside of the PC; I've created music using the PS1 and PS2 consoles, as well as (more recently) music software on the Xbox 360, found in the Indie Games section; I've even utilised the GBA and DS, as well as creatively using archaic technology such as MiniDisc and 'instruments' like the Stylophone.
Usually when I decide to create some music, I don't have a very specific idea in mind; often I'll begin with a vague idea of a genre or the decision to use a specific set of samples, but either way, I usually just make a start and see how things shape up -- it's the easiest way for me to work, though it doesn't always have the best results. I feel strongly that music can be more expressive than words, and I try and reflect something of my personality and current mood in every song I write, which leads to a lot of my music being kind of 'concept'. Of course, it's all open to interpretation.
I'm also a photographer/artist, and sometimes work in video. The best place to look for that is my DeviantArt page.
Finally, it's worth noting that I'm a Buddhist, and my beliefs to some extent affect everything I do, from the most subtle way to the most overt. Music is a form of communication, and all communication necessarily reflects the voice and person of the author.

hey there mate, greetings from melbourne! i like your sound, very smooth. did you do the vocals yourself?
hehe, i see what you mean, our influences are... identical. its like irrespective of what we have heard, we each have our own song that come out when we produce. it also seems you suffer the same constraints as me...
Thanks for the add, nice sound you have, just a little.. plain to my ears. It has originality certainly, but at the same time it's like a big massive well carved shining crystal bowl but nothing in it..
