Science Heroes are an Electro-Rock duo based in Eugene, Oregon that has been playing throughout the Northwest and California since 2006. Their sound has developed out of the juxtaposition of Josiah Martens’ beat-driven synthesizer work and Andy Weber’s gritty Guitar based song writing. Songs range from the infectiously danceable and anthematic (“What we need more of is Science,” “Sharp of Tooth, Unsparing of Fang”) to the dark and brooding (“The Starry Vault’s Waltz,” “Babylon”). Science Heroes make an effort to explore new sounds and song structures while maintaining a catchy accessibility. They draw inspiration from such things as classic science fiction literature, Alan Moore comics and film noir, in addition to a variety of musical influences.
Andy and Josiah met in college where they studied western philosophy, literature and, of course, science. They started their collaboration within the Blue Tower artist community in 2006. Since then they have been building an audience playing clubs, taverns, and house parties along the west coast.

hahaha.. ive actually never heard of postal serivce before that so i had to pop over to their myspace page and listen...could be that i am Scientifically predisposed to critical judgment, but im putting my money on Rad Andy & Josiah in the cage fight.
i was just reading your blog. i nearly choked on my tongue laughing at that Postal Service comment, "At least I have a publicist f*#! Tard!" there should be a warning at the top of your page not to drink carbonated beverages while reading.. it could have got ugly.
bah, and curse me for thinking josiah wrote that comment. andy hero, you are a dark-eyed hero. i'm drunk, so please excuse my wandering mind. the problem is, you have josiah's keytar as the profile pic, so naturally i was befuddled. i'll just stop now. tour is great.
thanks joscience (a moniker made to make maidens sigh). did tina show up? tour has been ridiculously luxe so far, with parents paving the way. after tonight, however, we venture out fully on our own, into the desert and into the bayou, until we reach salty maine. i can't wait. maine is one of the two united states i have never touched.
I saw you're blog! pretty sweet. our primary site is our myspace although we do have several other random sites run by other people...you would have to google them to find out. We have been meaning to write a Eugene blog.
basically im just hoping to find someone to drive down with me and keep me awake for the ride home XD other than that im totally in! That chess pic is sweet! i tried to add it to "who i'd like to meet" but it was like wallpaper and distorted the whole page. meh...
