Joey Koehl and Greg Tenenbown, the songwriters of the bands Science and Gulf of Mexico, and film weirdo/man of mystery Gregg Rounds have joined forces with "Mandon" to create Courses and Angles. Though the occasional warped guitar tuning or unusual time signature still surfaces, Courses and Angles has more traditional guitar playing, less shredding, and employs both real drums and lo-fi drum samples and many of the songs sit atop musique concrete sound collages. Visuals will soon be a part of shows and an EP is rumored to be coming soon. Courses and Angles was originally the name of a side project Joey imagined but could never get together that involved layered ambient sounds but more traditional guitars than Science/Gulf of Mexico. *****PAST: Science released a number of homemade EPs and one album while Gulf of Mexico issued only one release, the album Rooms You've Never Seen Before in 2006, from which the songs on the profile are lifted.
